Went here for New Year’s Eve early dinner, the food was mediocre and the service appalling. 25 mins to take our order when we’d asked for a minute or two more. We were also put at an awful table with patio chairs for some reason whilst the restaurant beside was empty. We had to ask to be moved. I was so happy to see French oinion soup on the menu but it wasn’t hot enough. Very disappointing overall, lots of staff but possibly no one managing? I wouldn’t bother returning, we’d been here before and it was really good, very disappointing.

Wouldn’t give a negative review without a second chance. Having American family visiting we ate out a bit and twice in one week to this restaurant. Thoroughly dissatisfied with quality of food. The Chowder appetizer was cool, flavorless and filled with potatoes. More like a stew. The next visit the special roast beef was like a thin slice of shoe leather. Tasteless and chewy. The shoulder of lamb was also overcooked, stringy and flavorless. The coffee was bitter and old. Ate out a third night at the Ramore Portrush. Packed to the rafters and food was absolutely delicious. Northern Ireland cuisine was redeemed with our foreign visitors. The wait staff at the Alchemy were pleasant and the gin and tonic was enjoyable. Thoroughly disappointed in food and will skip until I hear improving reviews.

Food was very tasty and I love how they accommodate you with a blanket since we all know how cold northern ireland can be, will be back to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the staff are a credit to this place, well done for being so attentive and professional all topped of with a smile under those masks

This is a lovely friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly, peaceful and relaxing. The staff are 1st class, they are super friendly and efficient. They are really helpful and respectful of their customers. The food is glorious. It is prepared to perfection and extremely well displayed. I love this place, it is now my favourite eating out place.

Worst fillet steak I've ever had or seen ! Asked me how I liked it , I said medium and it came out burnt as hell itself, my partners meal was overdone also and bit cold , I looked across the table at other diners and I think they were having the same problems, I use to come here often for a nice meal when it was named the Tannery , and the fillet and hanger steaks they served were divine , I've had a birthday meal there with friends I've took my parents for nice meals also when it was the Tannery but after that fiasco recently I'll never be back , I ordered a 36£ fillet steak and it was terrible , I've never seen a peice of meat killed twice before untill they placed the burnt offering before me , the hanger steaks that used to be served here would shame that fillet cut any day and at half the price , Definitely will not be back here again, ☹️☹️☹️

2nd time here and enjoyed our meal very much.Had the beef burger and the chicken burger and both were done really wellThe staff was as great as usual, made sure that we had water for our Little Dog, brought him out a few dog biscuits and were attentive, helpful and everything that you would want wait staff to be ...We would go back again - we felt that it was good value, well presented and accompanied by great staffOur Little Dog enjoying the view from the booth where he got to watch the world going by ...

When you're in the area or not, make a plan and drive down/up but just go. Book a table first. This is really a nice, no amazing Bistro. Friendly and prompt staff. Really good menu. I had the steak for dinner and it was melt in the mouth. Could eat one more poached pear, but then I would have to roll out.Yes it is that good. Go and experience it yourself. #5stars
