Coulscott House Holiday Cottages

We had a lovely week at Peacock cottage; 2 adults and a 5 year old. The property is lovely and the grounds of Coulscott really make it. Feeding the animals every day and swimming before breakfast we’re our highlights, plus board games in the cottage when it was wet outside.

We stayed in Bantam cottage for a week in late June with our 22 month old daughter and had an amazing week! Our little girl was in her element feeding the animals every morning followed by a trip to the playground, she has been talking about the chickens ever since. The cottage lovely and cosy, and had everything we needed for our week away. The cot room is also really handy. We were quite lucky with the weather and enjoyed some good today trips out to Saunton Sands, Croyde, Lynton and Lynmouth and also did the short Hunters Valley walk. With a toddler, we also opted for takeaway style teas - I’d highly recommend Barricane Beach cafe Sri Lankan curry (it’s so delicious!), Cluck street food in Croyde, the Mexican street food van at the pub in Combe Martin on a Saturday evening, the Black & White chippy in Combe Martin on the beach. Storm in a Teacup boat cafe in Watermouth Bay is also really worth a drop off - a great setting and really good food too!

It is hard to find somewhere to stay with 3 lively dogs which also lives up to the comfort and luxury which us two legged folk would like. The old farmhouse at Coulscott house holiday cottages had it all. Spacious, clean and comfortable with a wonderful farmhouse kitchen, hot tub to relax in whilst looking at the glorious views over the valley, smart tv to keep everyone happy on evenings in and wonderful surroundings including a field just for the dogs to stretch their legs. Other facilities on-site include a heated indoor swimming pool, bbq facilities and little shop on site.Alice, the owner, was always on hand to offer advice on the local area, good places to eat and the best beaches/ cliffs to walk the dogs.We would thoroughly recommend Coulscott to anyone looking for a dog friendly holiday where you can also spoil yourselves!

We had a fantastic weekend at Coulscott and couldn't ask any more from either the property or the service received. The Old Barn has been beautifully renovated and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was lovely, set in a very picturesque valley.

We had a fantastic time at Coulscott, Alice and her family made us very welcome. The cottage is high spec, clean, and there are lots of little touches that made it sepcial. Our kids loved all the things to do onsite, with pool, hottub, and animals then genuinely didn't want to leave and we had to drag them out to Croyde, Lynton etc. All in all a fantastic break. We'll be back!

We have just returned from our second family holiday at Coulscott. We are a family of 12 ranging from Great Grandad to Great Grandchildren. What a treat it is to be all located in adjoining properties (Georgian House and Old Farmhouse) having loads of space for everyone to 'do their own thing'. The littlies love the 'secret door' between the two properties!Great G loved relaxing on the patio whilst the Great Grandchildren dived between the animals (especially the alpacas), pool, soft play and the very well equipped play area (pirate boat was a great hit!)We explored Ilfracombe, Coombe Martin's Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Theme Park and Castle, rounding off each day with a coffee and cake watching the comings and goings at Watermouth Harbour.We are busy planning next years family holiday which hopefully will be spent at Coulscott, availability allowing.Whilst highly recommending Coulscott Holiday Cottages, we would also highlight that Alice is a terrific host, always on hand to help out, extremely accommodating and flexible - Thanks Alice :-)

We had a great time at Aylesbury Cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully presented and the grounds around the cottage were wonderful. From feeding the animals to playing in the play room or swimming in the pool everything was on our doorstep and meant we could take each day as it came. Alice is a fantastic host who is always available for a chat or to give advice on where to go. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was really well thought out.Thank you for helping to make our holiday so much fun. We're already looking at dates to return!

We spent a wonderful fun filled weekend here with family for my 60th Birthday.They have really thought of everything from a hot tub and swimming pool, soft play, play area, mini golf, tennis and lovely animals to pet. The grandchildren loved it.The house is beautifully decorated, with the kitchen being very well equipped. We were greeted by Alison on arrival with a quick run through.And we were able to take our two Labradors

Terrific, luxury cottage rental in beautiful, tranquil North Devon surroundings. So much to do on site, especially for younger kids. And all just a stone's throw from Exmoor and the coast. Very highly recommend.

Such a lovely week in the Georgian House at Coulscott with a 7 month old, 4 year old, extended family and two dogs.Really exceeded my expectations - often when booking child/dog friendly holidays you have to compromise on the quality of facilities for the adults, but not here.Really well equipped for the baby and preschooler with cot, bed guard, high chairs, a cupboard full of games for young children. Lovely clean and warm pool with lots of floats.For the grown ups, very comfy beds (I usually miss my bed when away but didn't this week), spacious and high standard accommodation and the hot tub allowed us to make the most of evening sun on the terrace.
