Hotel Commodore

What a great find!Lovely room (# 32), beautifully decorated and it had windows on two sides which, when all opened, created a welcome cooling breeze in this current heatwave. Good food and very friendly helpful staff. Excellent cocktails and a spacious, private outdoor seating area. We used the area behind the spa.I struggle to believe any of the poor reviews.Visit the Rock Park and The Lake, both near, within 7 minutes walk of the hotel.

We booked a night here for my friends wedding and was very impressed by how helpful and thoughtful the lady was when I phoned to book. The stay was fantastic, we had a beautiful, clean and lovely decorated room. A lovely comfortable bed. It had a huge plus from us as it had a proper coffee maker. We didn't eat in as we were at the wedding, but was very impressed with the menu on offer and the food looked amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.Beth and Will. Xxx

I can’t say enough good things about Hotel Commodore. It was my first time visiting Wales and I stayed at this hotel. I had an amazing experience. My room was so lovely. It was nicely decorated, clean, and the bed was super comfy. The managers and staff were so friendly and attentive. Harry, the bartender, always made excellent drinks. And I have to give a big shout out to the owners, Andrea and Rohan Murdock, who were very pleasant and just overall nice people. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay! I truly recommend Hotel Commodore to anyone who is visiting Wales. You won’t regret it.

Staid here in June of this year put In the wing. Apparently the main hotel had issues with the door's! From start to finish it was a nightmare dirty room in dining area served by young boys on 2 not professional staff rude even looked into getting a train home but the cost of train tickets out of our reach. How this hotel won 4 in a bed is beyond me. This was the worst ever holiday we had in the UK recommend no no no.

Well situated in an old spa town in the middle of Wales. Ideal base for exploring coast to mountainous locations from. The atmosphere is vibrant in the hotel, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Comfy lounge/bar area to congregate in.

1 night stay. Made very welcome. Food was good (dinner and breakfast). Excellent location for our 2 day bike trip into Wales.
