Little Brambles Childminding

Our child has been attending Hayley’s setting at Little Brambles since September 2022 (aged 13 months), he is now 2yrs 3 months. We had been to visit quite a few other childminders before finding Hayley, but having two much older (school age) children who both also went to childminders, it seemed impossible this time to find a professional setting, that genuinely cared for my child, and most importantly where I could see my child was happy. Just as I was losing hope, I found Hayley! When visiting the setting for the first time, it struck me how professional Hayley was, she had clearly put a lot of thought into her policy’s and procedures, the information that she asked for to make sure my child had the best opportunity to settle well in her setting, and that she knew all about him, his likes/dislikes routine, etc. My child settled beautifully and almost instantly with Hayley, and he loves going there. As we are in the car driving to her setting, he shouts ‘Hayley’ with a big smile on his face. I receive regular updates and photos throughout the day and can see that he is happy, content, well cared for, and exposed to a variety of fun learning and development opportunities. At the end of each day I also receive a thorough written report of the day, which is lovely to read hearing everything he has been up to that day. Hayley puts a lot of thought into the activities that she provides and the experiences she exposes the children to. We were particularly impressed that she arranged a visit from a dental nurse where the children learned about the dentist and oral hygiene. When I told Hayley that my child had a dentist check up coming up, she offered to do some role play with him in the setting prior to the appointment to help him feel more comfortable and confident when he got to the dentist. Hayley cares a great deal about the health and development of the children in her care. She provides thorough reports and feedback on how my child is developing and highlights any issues if there are any. Hayley has helped encourage and support us to get rid of our child’s dummy when the time came, in view of helping to improve his dental health and speech development. The food she provides is healthy and nutritious and she will tailor her menu as required depending on likes/dislikes. My child’s development is coming on leaps and bounds in Hayley’s setting, and now he’s starting to talk and say more words, it’s clear that he is learning a lot from her and the play and learning experiences that she provides, as he will now often repeat these at home, or say new words he’s learned there. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how Hayley cares for and supports my child in all aspects of his care. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and obvious passion for her work shines through in all that she does for those in her care.

Our little boy started little brambles in 2022 and he absolutely loves it! He has such an amazing bond with Hayley and is so happy every morning we drop him off. Rhys loves all the different activities Hayley sets up for him, and exploring the setting and toys which are provided. We couldn't ask for a better person to be looking after our boy.
