I love walking here! Can't begin to describe how big it is. It never seems to end! You literally can walk for miles over open space , great on a sunny day. I never tire of seeing the variety of Dogs! It's a lovely area for Dog Walking. Mainly it's of great Historical Interest going back to the Iron Age and later Roman times. I don't think enough is made of it's historical significance!

Great place to stretch the legs and also for doggy walks. Loads of space and parking is pretty good. Recommend wearing wellies in the winter months. Few mins from Colchester Zoo and the A12 as well.

Great place to walk the dog. Plenty of open fields and bridal ways to explore. You can walk for miles. Lovely wood nearby with plenty of bluebells.Need to keep your dog a lead for the first 100 yards or so because of ground nesting birds.

Nice big open fields great for a leisurely stroll with your headphones on, couple walks and dog walkers. If your into your history also there's plenty here as it is a archaeology site where various roman time buildings have been discovered and are marked out around the field.

Roman Fields Archeological Site Car Park
Great open space for walking and dog walkers. Car park can get busy but worth a visit to see the roman outlines of buildings past and hear the skylarks. There are also a number of footpaths off the field to explore too.
