The Mermaid Inn
Visited yesterday 16th for my daughter in laws birthday with 8 people .Ballons and banners we supplied were put up by the friendly staff. Food was well cooked and arrived at the table hot and on warm plates.The prices we feel were very reasonable for the food and service we received. We cannot call our selves regulars although having been their several times over the last 6 years and will return again . Used to be lovely. Husband enjoyed pork 3 ways, and was hungry so able to eat the pie and chips I wasn't so keen on. Used to be a favourite. Obviously changes in the kitchen. Very busy so other people seemed to like it.

First time back here in years. Did not realise the new owner had been there for two years or we would have gone back sooner. Food was excellent, piping hot and plenty of it. Despite the refurbishment programme going on at the time the lunch was a pleasure. Back again in a couple of weeks really looking forward to it.

We are lucky enough to live within walking distance of this pub.We try to go for a meal at least twice a month. The food and service is always nothing other than excellent !!It’s easily one of the best restaurants in south lincs.

Great food. Had the Glen platter for two fantastic, steak cooked to perfection. Staff pleasant and nothing too much trouble will definitely be going again.

Phoned to ask if they were open so I could meet someone there a couple of Saturdays ago. I was told they would be open at 7:30 so arrived at 8 to find the pub closed. I had driven a long way, hence the phone call to check. Not impressed!

1st time here, but glad we came. Staff were excellent with nothing being too much trouble. We were given a large table with space next to it for our pushchair and didn't feel in the way of anybody. Excellent food also, desserts were pricey at £6 each but the slab of brownie served was a very good portion. Will definitely be back

Not sure how the stays are at The Mermaid Inn, but the food I can tell you, hands down, THE BEST food I had around the Spalding area. Food was of SUPERB quality, executed beautifully and served pleasantly.The menu is small and mighty, great little dishes available, reasonable choices, everyone will like something. The menu is also available online, subject to changes, for specials, call in.Prices are reasonable and well worth for what you are presented with.We hadn't but my advise is that you book ahead of visiting, it's a busy place.Good and extensive car parking facilities on site. This is the kind of place that youd travel from home bringing the family back to area where youd served a contract... will be coming back with family and friends.

3 years since last visit and found food quality much improved. Party of 5 , we all chose different items from menu and all party were pleased with their choices. We will all be returning to try even more of the excellent menu.
