Alwoodley Dog Grooming

I am pleased to find this lovely place. Richard is very gentle and lovely with dogs, and treated my 2 year old cockapoo wonderfully. He gives plenty of time and attention to care with personal touch. I will definitely recommend his service.

I had read reviews about Alwoodley pet grooming online before I took my dog DIESEL to Richard. A Crazy SPANIEL, who wouldn't sit still for a SECOND!!!. Richard had groomed him 4-5 times for me now. And, all these reviews about Richard is so true. he is amazing at what he DOES. I couldn't thank him enough. My spaniel is not easy to handle and I can honestly say I wouldn't trust anybody else to do a better job than Richard. Picked him up today yet again feeling slightly sorry for Richard. He went in as a brown ball yetti" and came out like a "show DOG" . My trouble maker looks amazing and smells amazing and Richard you are truly amazing and miracle worker. Thank you so much. Richard has groomed (stripped) our border terrier for a couple of years. She is a lively handful that can't be the easiest customer. She always comes back pristine, smart and smelling good. Would highly recommend, especially for socially anxious dogs that need 1 on 1 groom time.

Absolutely Brilliant really was so much better than any other groomer we have ever used . Great personal service only one dog at a time no mental barking and noise like other places Dont hesitate to book your dog in Fabulous!!

We always go to Richard for our 2 cocker spaniels and he does an amazing job!

I've taken my cockapoo pup Stanley to Alwoodley dog groomers twice for his first 2 cuts , he looks fit for Crufts when he's handed back . Richard the groomer is a really friendly guy and has a good manor with dogs so wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Richard managed to squeeze Cleo in at short notice for a shampoo, nail clip and ears cleaned. Very professional and as you'd expect very good at handling my not liking a bath dog! Great job and great value.

This was a first experience- first groom for our first dog after he became exceedingly shaggy after months of lockdown. Our dog was transformed -neatly clipped and sweet smelling. Richard is professional, efficient and friendly. He very quickly put our dog-who can be nervous around men - completely at ease. He did a beautifully thorough job and was excellent vaue. I'm a very happy customer who will definitely be returning!

Not a great experience. Cuts around my dogs private parts as well as an unprofessional attitude from groomer. I will not be using his service again. Use at your own risk.
