Had a lovely stay over the Easter Weekend. Location is perfect and very reasonably priced. Hosts were welcoming and attentive and will definitely stay here again next time I'm back in the beautiful city of York!!

The staff could not have been more helpful. They were friendly but not overfamiliar and really made us feel welcome.I realise it's their business but you just get the vibe that they do genuinely care about each of their visitors and want you to have a great stay.Some areas of the building need a little updating but this is minor compared with the cleanliness and comfort during our stay.If you want somewhere relatively near to the city, then this is a good start.

My friend & myself stayed here on the 21/11 for 1 night. Lovely experience. We had the family room, very spacious and clean. Breakfast very good value for money and staff very accommodating. Overall 10/10 for service. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in York and will be back. Thank you. Janet & kath

Thank you for making us feel welcome. Very good breakfast. Comfortable bed, towels changed daily. We enjoyed the Raj returant that is part of the business also made very welcome there.I recommend staying here and going to the returant. Would happily book again on the next visit to York.

Can't fault the location or the very good staff. Also the free parking space was great. Our room was well laid out and appointed, with a range of teas and coffee, also a fridge was provided. However the standard of decoration left a bit to be desired. The shower room needed a good overhaul andwas a bit grubby. The breakfast offered a good choice of cooked items but there was no adult cereal choice (ie muesli or granola) and the toast was barely done with no option for wholemeal etc.

It's 16 mins walk from the shambles so in a nice location.Rooms are decent but we were in room five and the fridge motor is very noisy, sounds like a blizzard is blowing, we thought it was a doorway to Narnia.In the end we had to unplug it to get some sleep.Breakfast was about right and we enjoyed our stay.

Just can't fault it, the staff are great. It's in a great location, rooms extremely clean and have everything you need, breakfast is great, if you want more they will give you more, just ask! Great value for money in york city centre.
