It's very cheap, but a poorly run hostel. The place is falling apart (quite literally) and needs a renovation. The bathrooms were in total disrepair with the stalls coming apart. It was exceptionally dirty. I rooms were very dark and dimly lit. Not much space for your stuff. Finally, the internet could not reach the second floor, so I was without wifi for my entire stay. Only two outlets for the entire room.

Me and my friend stayed in this hostel a few months ago and are still recovering from the trauma and possible STI’s we contracted from the bedding. In all seriousness, I have traveled all over the world and this is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. We felt uncomfortable in the common area which again was filthy, my people were obviously drunk and high. As for the shower, I was cleaner before I entered. Enter at own risk. The location on the other hand was convenient. This is the positive.

The best (and totally understandable!) replies to petty bad reviews I've come across in replying to ppl booking a hostel and expecting a las Vegas hotel! We intend to book in December but haven't managed to get through by email (server errors)and phone number (understandable- busy place), was wondering if there was any other way of contacting with a couple of queries? Main query regarding age, family of 4 ...adult kids, but we parents are over 35...mentions age limits in website..!?

The only reason I got in this hostel is that I didn't what to spend a night with dogs on the street. I regret my decision. I should have stayed on the street. Everythig is dirty. The kitchen smells worse than my grandpa's corpse that have been here since 1825. I totaly don't recommend staying in this hostel. Unless you want to be a victim of hundreds of diseases.

The vibe of the hostel was very nice, the staff very nice, but the good things end there. The rooms are very dirty and the toilets are also very dirty, few and poor. The rooms are very hot, without a fan or air conditioning and in summer they are a sauna. There are also very few working sockets so it might be useful to bring a multi-socket. However, they do have adapters for sale at reception. The kitchen is very messy and filthy, the room is cramped, poorly ventilated and you get the impression that it is quite dirty. Despite this there were never any problems with theft. In conclusion I think the only strong points are the location and the friendliness of the staff, while I found the cleanliness and comfort of the place very poor.

Had to stay here a few times several years ago as it was winter and didn’t really have anywhere to go and it’s the cheapest hostel in the city so for that can’t really complain.Everyone I met was really friendly including the owner, it definitely had that hostel ‘vibe’. But still be careful if you are staying here yourself, especially if you are a young women, tho it seems quite safe as night as the outside room is locked and all rooms need different keys to get into, some rooms are bigger than others and you never know who your staying with unless you’ve rented the whole room. Also a lot of people seemed drunk which could increase the risk of SA.There’s a sitting area with books, a kitchen and you can have your clothes washed and dried for a low price. Also there are lockers in the rooms that work unlike some hostels but can’t remember if you need your own lock or not. It’s quite a good location with a Tesco express near by and a popular area with night life and shops just across a busy road.It was warm enough in winter as long as no one left the windows open (I think they might have been broken in one side of a dorm on the first floor) the bedding was clean and wasn’t too noisy. The place could be cleaner especially the upstairs bathroom and shower but I can see how it would be hard to keep clean with so many people coming in and out (a lot of them drunk) especially with no cleaner but the owner is pretty honest about that and it’s well enough that everyone should clean up after themselves (should be the same everywhere) but I think a deep clean should be done every once in a while even by hired volunteers and some parts of the bathroom especially really needed it.

The hostel’s position is very good, since it is located close to the city centre.Anyway the rooms and the toilets were very very dirty and they smell so bad that I couldn’t even wanted to shower. The manager seemed to be very rude and it looked like he didn’t really care about taking care of the structure. In fact he got bothered by the phone ringing while I was checking in, so he literally grabbed the phone and threw it on the floor! Moreover I felt very insecure because I could open the main door and the door of my room with the same key, which meant that everyone could open my room anytime.Terrible experience!

The hostel is cheap, and it's not for nothing. The people running it should not do that. They are struggling with their life and health, and we can feel it in the service. It's a brother and sister running it for their uncle, and they are clearly not at their place there. They look tired, drunk and high. How can they take care of an hostel without take care of their life?We arrived at 8pm, our beds were not ready, there are no lockers, no place to put your bags. Everything is quite dirty, the kitchen smells awful, the walls are not isolated, beds are not comfortable, the wifi is bad, and I'm pretty sure you get out of the shower dirtier than you were before going in. They are surely short in staff to clean the hostel. I am usually super easy going, but this was something. The sister told me she would move my friend and I in a private room if I would put her 5 stars on Google Maps... I'm sorry, but I am just helping saying you should not run that hostel, for your mental health.I don't really recommend...

I feel like I experienced what Dante wrote about in, 'Inferno'.It was so disgusting. No clean areas and the rooms don't have many power points. You deserve better than this place

I'll make it simple:Pros for going there- 1. it's cheap2. The location is good. Very walkable to get to the city center3. No noise from OUTSIDECons- 1. Loud music from the staff until 11pm can be expected, which is annoying but normal. However, even if there was no noise coming from outside, the STAFF was loud until 2am in the morning.2. Staff is okay (some of them were nice) except for that one person who is so very rude! It really makes you feel like an unwelcomed guest.3. Don't have high standards or standards at all when it comes to cleanliness: The kitchen & - equipment is very dirty and stained (like the tea towel that is not washed all too often)... in general, the bathrooms and rooms seemed to only be cleaned superficially. Under the bed e.g. it was very dusty etc.4. It's not easy/possible to contact he hostel. Before my arrival no one replied to my email and phone calls weren't picked up. Before 11am no one is at the reception to talk to in case of problems.
