Worst college to study teaching assistant course. The tutor withdrew me from the course, dispite knowing I had completed the work and was up to date. Tutor did not want to check work, and was unwilling to support, help, assist, guide and to encourage me. I had been through alot already on placement, tutors have been unwilling to listen to my side! Tutors are very very selfish and unprofessional. Complaints are not dealt with professionally, and take forever, tutors seem to get away with alot, and I find this so unfair. needs to be investigated. So unprofessional. I am shocked to read more reviews, that students just get withdrawn at this college without a good vaild reason, and without students consent. college does not want to listen to you! Students have the right to study! The curriculum manager doesn't care, the principle won't bother, they tell you to do your Maths and English again, when you have already achieved that, i completed functional skills, and got advised to consider GCSEs! I have spent long enough to achieve functional skills qualification which is equivalent to GCSEs! I started long time ago! the entry requirements for this course are level 2 maths and English, but they allow students on the course with almost no qualifications, or even entry 3 maths! As I witnessed! so your likely to be withdrawn, because you will get accused, you are not good at English or Maths!! they have tutors that are very unwilling to check your work, and to provide students with feedback, they want it easy! Students that are passionate to succeed are withdrawn seems to me, the tutor gets to choose her students, and I noticed that. What a unprofessional college. I do not recommend doing a teaching assistant course here! they withdraw you, as they please. It should not be about them, it should be about you, you have every right to be on a course. if I wanted to do course work myself, I would of done a online course! We come to college for a reason, and think we will get at least some feedback on our course work, tutor doesn't want to do any of that! I have witnessed people in class, who struggle more then me, yet they are allowed to stay on the course! I'm very suspicious about the tutors, that teach this course, they do not seem genuine at all. I had been through so much, and the tutor, that teaches this course, did not once talk to me personally, instead I was judged! I hope they dismiss all the students, that make spelling mistakes in their coursework, because I certainly did not deserve to be dismissed. I really did not deserve this. I also had successfully found a new placement, on time and being up to date, with my course work, the tutor still dismissed me! They simply do not like students who are passionate like me, and want to succeed! Such a bad vibe, the tutor has, its so sad, really is. Teaching assistants should not be taught, to be perfect, because no one is perfect! I do not recommend this college, especially the teaching assistant course. You will be disappointed! Look at the cheek and audacity, the college has to reply to this review, to contact the quality team! Its exactly what I did, and the principle did not contact me! don't be fooled! No one cares or bothers, infact my tutor refused to listen to me, disgusting behaviour from a grown adult! The tutor has shown absolutely no compassion towards me as a student at all, she is very bitter and heartless! The tutor wastes half the lesson, by talking about her life or previous students, which could be confidential situations, of previous students. Ive seen students yawning, when story time begins. The tutor wastes more time talking, and less time focusing on the unit work, they then have the cheek and audacity to have high expectations, and coursework to be perect! When the tutor herself, wasted classtime talking away!! they simply do not care!! You can complain all you want, no one cares here at all! Paget Road campus.

Terrible live sound and events course which has now been shut down thankfully. UPDATE: it’s been 3 years since I finished the course and I have still not received my grades officially from the college despite handing in all my coursework. DO NOT GO TO THIS COLLEGE. Level proceedings to follow after wasting £11,000 on this terrible course and not receiving my grades.

Okay place, the facilities are nice but glad im leaving soon! The teachers will teach at you but won't help those that are struggling. Ive been struggling in 2 of my courses the last year and a half and whenever i asked the head of A levels or teachers they would just tell me its big school now you need to look out for your own education and if you're struggling you need to read more online about it". Basically told me to go away and look online the entire year. If i wanted to teach myself I would have stayed home to do so!! I came here to learn and get help from teachers when needed but nope not here they don't care.Glad im leaving in a few months!"

No receptionist at reception, Service was appalling. Waited over half an hour until I had to ask for assistance to be seen. Told short of staff. Ticket system no point people were seen before me even though I had a ticket. Service needs improvement!!

After-all this college is good, in some departments they have really good teachers that make you love to attend college. I have noticed some staff in STUDENT HUB do not treat some non-English speakers students very well, which is a bit strange! When it comes to the building and the quality of equipments, they really need to be changed. Toilets for male are not easy to reach, for example if you are in the third floor, you have to go all the way down to the ground floor for a TOILET. I hope the college moves the building as soon as they can because I know many people have attended different college just because of the old current building.

Lies to get me there promised funding for a course then tried to get me to pay for it outright. Got me to travel for 3 hours in total for the privilege when they could have told me the truth two days before hand. Honestly ridiculous process for a disabled person to have to go through. Also no I would not like to you have had more then ample time to call me back and decided not to. Should be ashamed of yourselves willing to lie and be dishonest in the way that you deal with potential applicants its terrible

I did two years of the games design lvl 3 course, the girls on the course (Inc me) and weren't treated equally at all. I became close with another student and started dating, he then had to help me as I suffer with extreme anxiety, this usually meant he gave me a hug etc. We then got called into the tutors office and got told off for being 'inappropriate' and 'making other students uncomfortable'. This was complete bull as all the other students were our friends and understood why there was contact. This then made my anxiety a lot worse and I frequently cried during lesson. The receptionists and security are rude as well, especially during covid times. And to top it all off, the tutors told me I would achieve a distinction or merit at the end of the course, I then received a pass because my work didn't meet the criteria even though they had told me it was great.
