Hajime Judo Club

My 5 year old started 4 months ago in the Harrogate class and is thoroughly enjoying it! Sensei Balazs is very knowledgeable in his art and also very patient too so very ideal for kids with lots of energy!

My daughter has been at Hajime Judo club since the beginning at Selby. She loves going and Judo has given her confidence and strength. Balazs is a great teacher with lots of patience, he keeps us well updated regarding her progress and events. I definitely recommend this club.

Balash has years of Judo experience and his enthusiasm and professionalism makes learning very easy for a student. He is very patient and will go into detail for any points you struggle with. I am visually impaired and my Judo has improved greatly since been taught byeBalash. I would highly recommend for anyone at any level who wants to improve on the mat.

Balazs runs a fun club where fitness is gained through games, and the skills through practice of throws and hold downs. Balazs is always on hand to answer any questions and allows the children's confidence to grow through a weekly trophy ceremony, including a group drum roll. My son has been going for over two years and started when he was only five years old. The club runs for a variety of ages.

My son joined Hajime Judo Club a few months ago and not only is he really enjoying it I have been so impressed with how accessible the club is.Balazs has been so welcoming and hasn't hesitated to put adjustments in place to ensure my son, who is autistic, can fully take part in the club activities and grading. I started training here under Sensei Balazs after taking a break from Judo and he is brilliant! He has been practising and coaching Judo since he was 5 and his technique and passion shines through when you watch him coach.As a coach he is welcoming, straightforward and respectful. With kids, he also encourages play, enjoyment and achievement alongside skill development.I feel fortunate to get this level of Judo coaching in this part of the country, and anybody of any age or skill level won't regret coming to learn at Hajime Judo Club!

Fantastic place for your child to learn Judo. My daughter loves to go here as she has learnt so much and she feels comfortable as she can be very shy around people. Balazs is a great teacher and very patient with them all. Very highly recommended.

Both of my children have been attending this Judo club for a couple of years now. As a parent I like it because it keeps them away from the TV screen and keeps them fit while learning how to defend themselves. The children like to go because of the friendly atmosphere, the new techniques that they can learn (and use against daddy) and because of the variety of games that they can play.
