If you truly care about children’s welfare you would not use this service.1. Made to wait outside in winter months as staff arrive late.2. Children go into unheated building during winter months.3. Witnessed another families child crawling through two week old muddy paw prints (no animals allowed so I must be mistaken the response) i must have been hallucinating when seeing the caretakers Labrador. Caretaker in place following complaint number 2!4. Used condom wrappers outside the building on several occasions- site fit for children’s services?? I took photos on each occasion with time and date.5. Reports written then passed on for verification, edited and not read by the original writer so not suitable as evidence.6. Staff supervision is not by staff with social work qualification.7. Christmas decorations consisted of two miniature trees, one had two baubles on!8. Told this weekend they were changing the date of our contact if I can’t do it basically it’s take it or leave it. This isn’t the first time either.I can go on.....I have been told if I keep picking them up on their failings they will refuse me a service. If your a professional looking to use this service in the interest of the child please do your homework. Can you organise a contact session for one hour every other Sunday at the same time.DMR services can’t!In the interest of being fair, there are some nice staff and child centred staff. Unfortunately that cannot be said for all

Amazing service. Two individuals are amazing - Sharon and Aiysha. They have been so helpful it’s phenomenal. I think as fathers we need to take our emotions out of the service offered and be pragmatic and logical. Yes - there are certain items we would like immediately but these employees are under so much pressure we would not believe - so how about we give them a break and look at ourselves. I certainly could not do this job - so my hat goes off to these beautiful, helpful individuals- thank you.Always indebtedShan ( Thanks Aiysha and Sharon -You need a bonus - dealing with emotional fathers).

I would not recommend using this service. This is because in my experience it is very disorganized. I have experienced staff telling me they are setting up contact and then not setting it up. I have also experienced staff arriving up to 20 minutes late for contact sessions. I have also had one member of staff lock me and my daughter out of the contact room during the winter and leaving their keys in the room, meaning my five year old was sat in the cold in just a t-shirt for half an hour.

So grateful of the hard work and personable approach shown by all the staff at the centre. You have made a difficult and emotional time a smoother process for us all.I would definitely recommend to all those who are going through the same process.

Not looking forward to my first experience based on these reviews and star rating. I was surprised from the start when I discovered that they only take cash and bank transfers. No card service in 2019, seems odd! I'll be back in a few hours and will see if I can leave the first positive review?A few hrs later.....Having not seen my 2 girls in over a year I arrived. I was politely greeted and shown to a waiting area. The building was clean tidy and warm. I was eventually shown to a good sized clean and tidy room where I nervously awaited my girls. Within minutes they came in and I relieved the cuddles I had fought so hard for. The 2 hour's were a blur and if I'm honest, I wouldn't have cared if the 2 hours had been in a cave. It's not about the place it is about contact. If i was being picky I would have to say that the toys and games were for young children and not 10 and 13 year olds. Plus at a cost of 80 quid for 2 hours the company must be making enough money to lose the woodchip and decorate properly.I saw happy faces and loads of love. You can't put a price on that!!

I recently completed my social work placement with DMR services. It’s been an amazing experience. Such a busy, professional yet supportive atmosphere. I’ve learnt so much and had the opportunity to work with some inspiring individuals who have helped me grow, both personally and professionally.

Absolutely shocking..***DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE***My sister was beaten up, strangled, and threatened with a kitchen knife by her husband, in front of my 14 month old nephew. She made the brave decision to kick him out and start to rebuild her life for herself and my nephew. She followed all of the channels open to her, and did EVERYTHING by the book, she didn’t even change the door locks, as she was advised this was illegal. She eventually sought counselling to try and help with the nightmares that she was having, or night terrors, IF she managed to even get to sleep, from fear of him coming back for her.She took the abusive texts, call and emails before eventually getting a non-molestation order, and when this didn’t deter him, a police restraining order.Through all of this.. she STILL didn’t want to deny my nephew the chance of growing up with a father. So she arranged contact here.. this “SAFE HAVEN” where she could arrange the following;Father turns up at LEAST 15 minutes early, and enters a room. Mother turns up and a member of staff takes the child in to see father for an hour, or two hours, child is taken back to Mother, while Father WAITS until Mother and Child have left.Simple?No. Apparently not...We arrived one morning, LUCKILY I was with her. To find that not only was the place locked. But Father was stood outside waiting to be let in, my sister instantly panicked, my nephew became unsettled due to my sisters reaction. This was her absolute worst nightmare unfolding in real life infront of her. We went back to the car and called someone to find out what was going on, there was a half hearted apology, which DOESNT even come CLOSE to rectifying the trauma and months of counselling that was starting to work. Absolutely disgusting. What would have happened if she was alone? Attacked? My nephew taken from her? This, as you can imagine, shook her to the core and scared her. She postponed for almost a month while she came to terms with what had happened. She built herself up again and was ready to give things a go again, for my nephew sake I must add.The phone called Sunday morning, “you’re sons father is here, he wasn’t booked in but he’s turned up” she felt pressured into going there, and rushed around to meet their demands, she arrived, and they managed to put her in a room with him to wait for things to be sorted... Her WORST nightmare, AGAIN.Absolutely disgusting, unacceptable. This service has quite literally done the opposite of what it claims to do TWICE, back to back.PLEASE Avoid this at all costs, for your own sake, DO NOT put yourself in the hands of these people. One day the worst will happen and it will be due to their lack of organisation and communication. This service is an absolute shambles. There will be serious repercussions one day due to their lacksidasical attitude towards the SERIOUS situation that has put a parent in this position; They come to YOU for SUPPORT, for SAFETY... For PROTECTION.You are failing these vulnerable people. You are putting them back in harms way. YOU are the cause of their continued trauma, their psychological setbacks. YOU are a PROBLEM.
