Cambron House

This care home is excellent, due to the staff working there, they do actually care. The decoration/general maintenance of the building is adequate, the facilities are all there, the main living room has a top of the range large TV screen, along with many different style comfy chairs for the residents to share, the bedrooms for the residents are spacious and very clean. The dining room is clean and spacious too. Cleanliness is excellent, the staff are always cleaning and nothing appears dusty or dirty - very impressed with cleanliness. The general feel for the staff is that they all genuinely care and nothing is too much trouble to ask, as soon as I visit my relative in there the staff are attentive, friendly and always offer refreshments and chairs for any family members attending. All the staff are excellent, however a special mention to Megan & Amy, those 2 girls have made my relative settle in very comfortably and smoothly, I can’t thank them enough. There are too many staff to name, any member of staff I have come across has been a pleasure to deal with and really makes me happy knowing my relative is getting well looked after. I can recommend this care home to anyone, I have read previous bad reviews about the issues this care home apparently had however it’s nice to know they must have sorted all raised issues out as I have been blown away by the staff kindness & quality. I encourage anyone to consider this care home who may need it.

Brenda, Megan, Amy, Julie & Tony - The nicest people/staff I have come across! Always makes sure my dad is well looked after and goes the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable. I have noticed recently Brenda in particular makes sure he is comfortable in bed/chair, puts on his favorite TV shows or makes sure his radio is on so hes not sat in silence in his room etc. Checks his incontinence pad is regularly changed, all the really caring/nursing things that are sometimes difficult are always done with a smile and polite, nice, caring manner. All the staff at Cambron House are lovely and approachable, the ones mentioned are the ones I seem to see when I visit my dad. (Resident John Turner)

I dont want to give place one star it's even worth half a star it is absolutely discussing how they treat people there.

Only been to this place once and would never go in again staff are very abrupt with residents and family members also just leave residents to their own to devices to injure themselves. Major safe guarding issues here that need addressing and investigating. If there was a minus rating that's what I would be giving this place.

I have a close friend who has been at cambron house for the past two years he has alzimers and has challenging behaviours as have quite a few of the residents. I have always found the staff helpful and friendly. Cambron house was the only home willing to offer my friend a place after being referred back to the hospital by a number of nusing homes because they were unable to cope. I would like to say thanks to all of the staff for all the care and support they have given with the residents that need more care than just looking after the elderly who in some nursing homes are just left in their rooms.
