Great first impression, incredibly helpful from 1st point of contact, new purpose built premises very modern and clean. We had our first visit with our adopted cat, very friendly, polite, welcoming service from all, prompt appointment without delay, the cat remained surprisingly calm for her entire visit, clearly at ease in the clinical room. Pet plan great value. Returned home happy with a happy cat.

Very disappointed in Plunketts. I thought for a while about writing a review due to how helpful/caring the reception staff were so I would like to make clear this review is not a reflection on the reception staff.I signed my dog up to Plunketts when we first got him. He suffered a lot with his allergies and the vets at Plunketts were very unhelpful. Over the course of the last 4 months I have spent over £800 in repeat consultations due to the vets not carrying out the correct procedures. My issue started when I was told by the vet to check with my insurance to see if they covered immunotherapy for allergies. My insurance confirmed that they did so I booked in for the allergy test and paid. When I went to claim back my money from the insurance, Plunketts vets told them that I was advised to wait until my boy was 1 year old. The insurance then refused to pay out, leaving me out of pocket. I requested my dogs medical notes and confirmed that this is not what the vet told me and in fact she lied.I visited numerous times as my dogs skin was in a very bad way and kept trying to reach for his back end. The vet checked him over and blamed the allergies. I finally told the vet that I believe he has a yeast infection and told her I would like a swab done, and to my surprise a yeast infection was confirmed. After this, I decided to move vets as I was no longer wanting to pay someone and do their job for them.On my first visit to my new vets, they spend 2 hours checking my boy over as they knew he had been neglected from Plunketts and left to suffer. On this visit, they found that he needed his anal glands expressing (hence the reaching for the back end). They also found that he needed eye drops to help with his allergies until we can get them under control.I write this review because I want pet owners to be aware of the sort of misinformation and neglect that they may experience when using Plunketts. I will be speaking to my insurers and any necessary party to complain about this experience and claim back any money which I have been robbed of.

Had a six monthly check up with my little pooch Max last week. Not sure of the lady's name who checked over my Max but she was wonderful. Max is generally very anxious, especially at the vets, but she did absolutely everything to accommodate that and did an incredible job. When speaking with her, she was very knowledgeable, full of energy, listened to everything I had to say and was very understanding. Max was even given a little bag of treats for being brave.Never had a bad experience at this practice and hope to continue making my pooch feel more at ease there.Thank you!

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beautiful 19 year old cat Binka. A heartbreaking decision was made easier by the team at Plunketts. Binka was put to sleep without unnecessary stress or pain. We were treated with respect and care. We can't thank the team at Plunketts enough for seeing us through Binkas final hours, with patience, consideration and understanding.

Took my dog to see these vets with an eye condition paid consultation fee and paid for a treatment this said treatment did not help my dogs eye condition called the vets to state this they then charged another consultation fee and charged for another treatment that stated LONG TERM TREATMENT when I called 12 days after my dog was put on this long term treatment for a repeat of medication I was told they would not give the medication for my dog without paying another consultation fee ! Absolutely disgraceful that i have been paying for my dog to be treated for her eye condition unsuccessfully by this veterinary practise and have today said they will not give me the LONG TERM TREATMENT unless I pay a further £128 for them to see her
