The Coach House at Lodge Farm, Holiday Cottage

Having stayed at The Coach House previously and absolutely loving it, we booked for a weekend stay in mid December.Unfortunately 2 days prior to our arrival 3 of our party contracted Covid. I contacted Anna (the owner) and asked if we could move the weekend to another chosen date to try to save a very unfortunate situation. Anna could not have been more helpful and accommodating and has moved our weekend without any hidden charges or fuss.If anyone is feeling nervous about making bookings during this current time I can definitely say Anna will go out of her way to help when needed and make things as stress free as possible.I already know from a previous visit the property will be spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay at! My fellow bridesmaids and I arranged a hen do weekend for our lovely bride to be and it was such a great weekend at this cottage. The cottage was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. There was lots of space for all 10 of us, and we made use of the hot tub and the private chef which were both fab. Anna was wonderful at communicating and we would recommend this venue for anyone looking for a weekend in the countryside, whether that is for a hen or family trip!

I visited the coach house with some friends for a post lockdown break and we had a wonderful stay.The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was lovely to have the hot tub which made our stay even more relaxing. We also had massage treatments which were wonderful. The therapists were very professional and took cleanliness seriously.The surroundings of the house are beautiful and very peaceful. Its also really well located for walks, trips to ely and downham Market and even the beach.The host, Anna, was friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay.Overall I would thoroughly recommend the coach house and would be keen to stay here again in the future.Thanks so much!

Anna came to save the day when my wife-to-be had her Hen-Do cancelled overseas by the airlines! Anna ensured that we were able to book at short notice, helping to organise some brilliant activities including Afternoon Tea at the accommodation and a little Spa Day! The accommodation is incredible and the girls loved it!

I booked The Coach House for my daughter’s Hen Weekend for 11 guests.Right from the start the host, Anna couldn’t have been more helpful. She answered any queries extremely quickly and is happy to do this by text, email or phone call. From the moment we arrived we knew we’d made the right decision. The property was spotlessly clean, very spacious but still had a cosy feel. Basic provisions were left in the kitchen for us and also a very tasty homemade fruitcake which was a lovely thought.The bedrooms are all a good size with very comfortable beds.We made good use of the outside space to the rear of the property with a hot tub, barbecue and plenty of seating. There is also a seating area at the front of the property that provides plenty of shade if preferred.If you’re looking to book a large property for your celebration or family get together them I would highly recommend The Coach House!!Thank you again Anna,

Stayed here for the week with a group of friends and our respective children. The house is comfortable for a group of 12. In the spirit of providing some constructive feedback, I think the house could do with a little TLC. There are lots of tired areas throughout, which is to be expected in a holiday let, but important to keep on top of in my opinion. The cleanliness could also do with some attention. The floors downstairs which are all laid to tile, were quite dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned thoroughly for some time. There were also a lot of cobwebs, and dust behind furniture where it clearly hasn't been moved in a while. A few of the courtyard light bulbs had been smashed in the recent high winds (again; unavoidable) but the glass from said bulbs hadn't been cleaned up from the patio, which could have led to some cut feet. I would also say that as a self-catering accommodation, it could have done with a few more essential kitchen items; some more measuring jugs, lids to the saucepans and some wooden spoons.We did all have a lovely stay as there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas! I hope this review is taken in the manner in which it was intended.

We're just back from a wonderful 4 day stay at the Coach House for a family birthday and loved every minute! From ages 4-70, everyone had a fantastic time and loved the characterful property that Anna maintains so beautifully. It feels homely yet special, the outside space is brilliant for kids to run around at the front and adults to relax out the back!Ample bathrooms, comfy beds, kitchen utensils and gorgeous bath robes for the hot tub. We ordered a tesco delivery for the first night so had everything we needed easily and we'd highly recommend.Thank you Anna!

We had a lovely break in this beautiful house and great weather. Thanks Anna for all your help during our week, for the surprise birthday cake etc. The house was immaculately clean and we loved the courtyard which was fully enclosed. The grandchildren loved the spacious front garden and the friendly cat!

12 of us stayed at the Coach House over half term and it was absolutely wonderful. The house is stunning and surrounded by countryside. There was everything we needed to self cater for 5 days even with 12 of us. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds extremely comfortable with quality linen and pillows, we all slept like logs! The hottub provided hours of fun for everyone and stays warm for hours. The owners had taken the time to make sure everything was beautiful on arrival including providing a welcome cake! The only downside was leaving, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us.
