Great experience, visited twice within a month. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was luxury, loads of restaurant within the area. Gym facility was quiet and nice. Lots of Parking space. The only bad experience was the awful smell, once you are outside the hotel.

Really nice Hotel. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were lovely, beds were flippin enormous! Freeview was available, but rather disappointed that radio couldn't be accessed. Apart from that, great.

The first thing we noticed was the smell from the local effluent treatment plant. The smell does invade the hotel but that's just an unfortunate result of it's location. A warmer welcome at reception would have made a more positive impression but instead the receptionist just checked us in without any pleasantries or welcoming chat. The bar and waiting staff were very hospitable and made sure to ask if everything was ok or whether we needed anything more.As for the hotel bedroom, it was clean and contemporary, however there were no biscuits, bottled water and a shortage of milk to make a hot drink. The other issue was that we only had 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel for a 2 person booking so had to go to reception to request more towels but was given a bath towel and 2 bath mat towels. The Breakfast menu had the usual breakfast variety and was enjoyed. For a budget sleepover, business stopover this hotel is fine in terms of location to the M6 but attention to detail by some of the staff would make all the difference.

I am very disappointed in this hotel. It says 3 stars, but the lobby was the nicest part.In the room i stayed in, there was black mould on the bathroom ceiling. Holes in the towels. The shower floods itself and pours out onto the bathroom floor where there is no drain for this, and the plug seems blocked up, hence why it floods out. There seems to also be a leak under the shower when switched on. We overheard another customer complain of the same issue. The breakfast meats looked barely cooked. The room key stopped working, so we had to get that fixed also. When returning room key, no one came to do a check out we had to find someone & they told us just leave the card on the desk.Massive carpark, though loads of space and no sound of traffic either, which is a plus.

I stayed for one night during a work trip and felt quite uncomfortable during my stay here.Staff were work-shy and impolite, and were reluctant when asked to help (I just wanted to order a drink at the bar - at 7pm - but we had to find someone to help me and I was made to feel irritating). The bed was comfortable but the room was full of cobwebs and hardly felt cleaned besides making the bed, and there was no drinking water provided.Breakfast was particularly difficult for me as a celiac (no gluten) - there was no allergen guide and no staff to ask about it.

The hotel itself was quite nice, with a modern lobby, good service, and clean rooms with a great shower and comfortable bed.Unfortunately our room was so hot we had to open the window, and when we did the smell from the nearby sewage works was so overwhelming that I was unable to sleep at all. It’s not within the hotels power to change, however I can’t recommend this place at all simply because of how strong the smell is, especially in the restaurant area which really did put me off my breakfast.

Unless there's no where else, don't stay here. The public areas have had a recent make over but this hotel is shabby and tired. I had a privilege" roomIt has an empty fridge (not even a bottle of water) a window that doesn't close and peeling paint. Can't imagine what the others are like! The car park is huge

Few minutes from motorway and booked as a stop over point on a Friday mid june. Doesn't look much from outside but modern inside.Room lovely and clean. No view out window worth looking at as room was ground floor at back so mainly the forgotten bits at service area. Bed huge (2 smaller ones together), tea/coffee, towels provided.Went for meal around 6.45pm. Hardly a staff member to be seen. Told certain items not available. Both ordered cheese and onion pie, potatoes and veg. Shortly after got told only enough potatoes for 1 were we OK substituting one meal with chips. While waiting heard new diners being told more items not available - not great on a Friday night! Meal was edible, nothing exciting. Veg was separate bowl of broccoli and green beans each that was probably a 2 person serving (not a fan of these veg but made myself eat it)Breakfast available in the morning but no one told us it would be laid out in a back corner - we were sitting at a table waiting on a staff member. Saw others head to the area. Good selection of items - cereal, toppings, bread, croissants, fruit and choice of 6/7 hot items. No vegetarian sausage options but egg, beans, mushrooms.Hotel also used for wedding and there is a small garden area for photos

Stayed here with a relative, booked 2 rooms for 1 night. Some staff members were polite but the lady who received us when we arrived may have been quite burnt out / not interested in her job and was missing any basic manners - it's never a good look if your staff are incapable of being at least as polite as your guests. It was difficult to tolerate how the key cards used to enter the 2 rooms could fail for a total of 5 times over the duration of an overnight stay. Every time it failed guests are expected to return to the reception to get it reset, eventually this felt like some bizarre walking exercise that the hotel like to impose on guests. It also comes across as an on-going issue as staff seems to have gotten used to it.Room was generally clean-ish. Sheets were clean, no stains, but the shower heads had obvious build-up of scales and do not appear to have been cleaned in a long time. The bed was reasonably comfortable.Soundproofing is poor, conversations and noise from the TV (even in low volume) from next door only gets slightly dulled, so if you have to stay here, consider bringing ear plugs.Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Will fill your stomach. There's on-site parking for free, but as the hotel would warn you, spaces are limited.
