Royal Hotel
Friendly welcoming reception, clean, quiet, well equipped, recently refurbished rooms, comfortable beds, good price, central location, view of sea (room 5), free WiFi, free parking on street (6pm - 8am), 100m from Morrisons supermarket, 15mins driving to ferry. Perfect.

Royal Hotel
It’s an unmanned hotel and we couldn’t get in due to access being dependent on downloading a web link for instructions. We tried the Coop wifi as well as our own cell service. A phone call to the number provided just gave us a recorded message and our frantic text messages went unanswered. We gave up despite having paid in full and drove 30 miles to the Premier Inn in Dumfries. A Customer Service representative called me the next day and was downright rude. .

We had a lovely double room, which looked newly renovated. Great location too. We were able to park in the street overnight. Helpful staff. What's not to like?I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Royal Hotel
This has got to be one of our best experiences of a hotel. The owners were excellent and very well organised. We arrived after riding the bike in three hours of heavy rain and they wanted to ensure that we were made comfortable and that the bike was securely parked so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. Nothing was too much hassle including getting up early to let us leave in the morning for our early ferry. Rooms were clean, spacious and warm. Lovely couple and will definitely be back here again.

Hotel was nice including the rooms but they dont do meals and you can't eat in the rooms either.

The Royal Hotel was a lovely place to stay for our first time in Stranraer. They accommodated our needs perfectly and were incredibly kind we will definitely come back.P.s. the highland cow teddies are my own, not the companies.

The people are wonderful, warm and friendly. The rooms were very nice, bathrooms recently remodeled. Loved the cookies they leave for you.I definitely recommend!People at the bar are great and will answer your questions and happy to chat with you!
