Fantastic little caffe. Cakes are scrumptious. The atmosphere is amazing, and it's all down to the lovely staff working there. Gets really busy, so you might want to book.

We called in for lunch before visiting the gardens. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent soup, wonderfully fresh cheese scones and plenty of tea. Great service. They just need to improve the information on the website as we had to ring ahead to confirm that there was a tea room and that it was open.

Warm tasty scone with raspberry jam and a pot of tea. It’s a shame the teapot spilt my tea every time it was used; please consider replacing them. My mum had a toastie which she enjoyed. Limited indoor seating so be aware that you may have to take lunch outside (even in rainy conditions!)

Really nice food and friendly staff. My only gripe was it took quite a long time for our order to be taken. I’ll definitely be visiting again for the sausage & bacon cob!

Another lovely visit to Melbourne Hall Tea Rooms. Delicious food and drink, and friendly, helpful staff. The vegetarian breakfast and the buck rarebit was fantastic and very good value for money. This is our third visit and will definitely come again!

First visit , very impressed, we had a cooked breakfast which arrived hot and served on hot plates, lovely atmosphere and pleasant service. We bought several pieces of cake to take home VERY NICE home made! Will definitely be visiting again

Just had a really delicious lunch at the Melbourne Tea Rooms. A wide choice on the menu and the 'Specials' board. The staff were amazing. A very special place.

This is a lovely spot but the business is not delivering a good experience. We arrived one day it was closed, nothing on the website to warn us. This happens very often. We went again later in the week and told to wait outside in the cold even though it wasn't full.Tables reserved with no one in sight.Menu never alters, same old choice which is limited.The afternoon teas are a bit limited but the cakes are good.Hot food service ends at 2.30!We've been going since it opened but because they keep closing and kept us in the cold we are sadly off to pastures new, Melbourne has other good places. It's such a shame.
