Staff were just so welcoming and full of fantastic recommendations, even though there wasn't anything to avoid as the food was all fantastic and well cooked. Music was a bit outdated and loud, affecting the atmosphere ever so slightly. Overall I will recommend and come back again and again!

Decent food at decent prices (for Whitstable. What lets this place down is excessive noise. 80s disco background music, someone playing a piano, noisy groups (large Indian family, six chatty elderly ladies out for a lunch chatand slightly tipsy regulars at the bar) made for a very lively environment. Some people might like this. Too much for us.Food was ok. Service was good and friendly.

The food was delicious and we had a lovely meal of fish and chips, all local, and it has real ale too! We also went back for a Sunday roast and had the pork which was also lovely to eat and plentiful! All local food! The staff were also friendly and helpful!

Visited here a few times while on holiday in Whitstable, first for drinks, then for food.I would say it is definitely a pub first and foremost, but one that does really nice food. The traditional pub grub/Asian menu mix caused a few selection dilemmas but everything was cooked very well and was a cut above standard pub food. The pub also hosts live bands.Friendly staff and well worth a visit.

The menu looks suspiciously like standard pub food ... fish and chips, Thai green curry, you know the genre. But when you walk in, you see a board of specials and realise that there's real cooking happening here. Fish and chips was hand made real chips, home made tartar sauce and a big bit of cod in, yup, hand made batter. Fresh peas. Really.Sea bream with mash was excellent, with loads of garlic green beans and a creamy fresh sauce. The creme brulee was beyond exceptional. We're all well used to seeing a tiny pot of solid stuff, prepared yesterday and now fridge- solid, limp onto the table as a disappointing finale, right? This place brings the brulee of your dreams to you. Cracking a satisfyingly caramelised top into splinters of crackle, you get into a silky, creamy, comforting pudding, served correctly, at room temperature, that is so good that you want it to go on and on. And it does! The portion is huge. (I still scoffed the whole lot myself.)Worth shifting up the coast from hipster Whitstable to this little place. Unpretentious, simple, excellent food, carefully cooked from fresh and at super reasonable prices.Update....came back and ate more food. Lentil tart, sea bream, excellent. They were friendly to doggo too.

Friendly pub just off the sea. Ample parking. Good beers. We didn't ear but it is clearly popular for food. Thai fusion seemed to be the theme as well as traditional.

Nice pub for Sunday lunch after walking along the seafront. Very friendly staff, nice small beer garden around the back. Really reasonable prices and the roast was well cooked and tasty. Dog friendly, just next to the beach. Not much parking but plenty of parking down the road on the sea front.

A lovely gem of a restaurant and pub with a bustling atmosphere. Great service and beautiful food. Wide range of sea food and Asian dishes mixed in with your classic pub food. Not costly in context to the area. Especially catered well towards children. Also had a wide range of vegan and gluten free options!

Our first visit and can genuinely recommend. Nice atmosphere and busy (but not overcrowded). Really good value for moneyTempura prawns (my wife tells me they're the best tempura prawns she's had!) and scallop starters both really well cooked and tasty. Main courses of Rendang Beef and Moule Frit both excellent (my mussels were one of the nicer ones I've had. Too many places overcook them but not here). I had read one review which complains about portion size but we found they were ample. Service was prompt, certainly no issues on that front.Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner - oh, and the house red is worth a punt.
