Moreland House

My father was there for a couple of mths till he sadly passed away a week ago he was there for Palative care we meet the manager and was promised a room on the ground floor in whitch it didnt happen there was no palative care not what he or any other person should go through it wasnt like we was promised the rooms werent noithing like advertised only a couple of them were ok the rest were rude and arogent the rooms thay showed us on the ground were lovely but the ones upstairs where dissapointing thats where my father was not recomended the manager was arrogant and not very helpfull dont be fooled by what you are told or lead to belive i wouldnt give this place more than 1star dont be fooled by pics go look at room 104 screws hanging out the walls handles hanging of furniture walls were marked old people or ill people should not be treated like my dad was i put pictures on but thay aint showing them because the room was terrable

I have just moved my relative out of this home due to the lack of leadership from the top. No manager for months, carers running out of basic essentials. I would not recommend Moreland House or Abbey Total Care.

My grandad was moved here straight from hospital and the team were outstanding. Unfortunately my grandad was only there for 2 weeks but in these 2 weeks the care he was given we couldn't of asked for anymore. He was clean, new clothes everyday, if he was uncomfortable someone was always there. Not only did they give support for my grandad they supported our family and constantly checking in with us. Would not recommend my mum was there only a few months before she passed away.So many mistakes by management and staff.If she hadn't been so ill would have moved her out

Good place. Staff are caring and home is neat and clean always.I would suggest this nursing home for anyone who is looking for safe care and treatment.

I went to see my grandma here for the first time today since being moved here from hospital. I was really nervous about the visit, but within minutes those nerves went.I was pleasantly surprised on how good the home, staff, rooms and care is. My grandmother was in a different home previously and it was nothing like this one.Nobel and carman were so lovely towards me, my niece and my grandma. They even made us drinks and showed us round the home this was a lovely touch.The day room is spacious with plenty of seating and a view of a really nice garden. I can imagine this is a lovely place for the residents In the spring and summer. It was lovely to meet 2 of the other ladies that are residents here and to chat with them. I was also nice they had music channels playing for the residents to listen to.My mum outlined specific care she wanted for my grandmother and the staff have stuck to this a respected my mums wishes.My grandmas room is a nice size, good natural light, clean and has been made cozy.My grandma was sent here by the hospital so it was a real lottery where should would end up or what the nursing care would be like, I can positively say we hit the jackpot with this place.I would recommend this home. They cater for all needs. My grandma has dementia and needs nursing care.Thank you for looking after Betty so well. Kind regards from the Gill family.
