Steps Together Rehab - The Chestnuts - Leicestershire

I stayed at Chestnuts (Arnesby) in September 2023 for 10 days on the reset programme.The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the surrounding area is picturesque.There are two buildings, the main residence where you sleep, eat and relax and a house and annexe which is a 2 minute walk down a country lane where most of the group and individual therapy sessions are held; all buildings are clean, modern and comfortable.The environment is important, however, the real game changer is the staff; there are 'all' wonderful. They genuinely care, are very warm in their manner and in my view go the extra mile.The food is very good and you won't go hungry, between meal times there is always fruit available, endless coffee and tea options and a big plate of sandwiches are put out in the dining room fridge during the evening.There are two lounges (both have a TV), the bigger one tends to be the busiest, I used the smaller one quite a lot when I wanted some peace to read.The group therapy sessions are run with sensitivity by the therapists.The therapy programme is varied and allows plenty of downtime to relax and reflect and do the 'off line' work for the programme; the programme tends to be between 9-ish and 4pm, with the odd evening session too.I would recommend Chestnuts (Arnesby)

Amazing team and therapy programme. I’ve come out feeling new and with hope!The food is incredible, endless sandwiches.Place is comfortable and clean, and rules are clear which helps with boundaries and forming disciplines which we need as addicts.Highly recommend.

Searching for reviews and researching nervously we found this place and this programme. Been here for nearly 28 days and have to say that it has opened my eyes, and from the onset of the first day was made to feel very welcome. It’s a safe environment with great on hand nurse/care staff 24/7, with amazing food and housekeeping staff that look after your needs with the utmost care and respect. It’s become a home from home and has helped me in so many ways, it’s the best investment I have ever made. With the aftercare plan provided when I leave I don’t feelNervous about getting back out there, highly recommended ….

I can not recommend this place enough. Every single member of the staff are so approachable and helpful, nothing is ever too much for them. You are made to feel welcome from the second you arrive. I feel so much stronger after spending 28 days here and feel comfort knowing they will still be on the phone 24 hours if needs be when back in the outside world. If you get the opportunity to go here, grab it with both hands!

I really appreciated my stay at Steps Together Arnesby. Upon arrival I was horrified by my small room, but I thought actually I am in rehab not at some resort. And I remembered my room at college, much smaller. So I spent much time in the common room with the others and really enjoyed the fun we had together.What made the difference for me was the absolutely amazing wonderful staff. When due to an exacerbation of my COPD I collapsed in the road, they got me to the hospital, brought me clothes and called every day. The staff are super but really Steps Together should add more staff as too much is asked of the existing staff.Anyways I quit drinking and smoking during my stay so I hope to save £2000 a month if I carry on.Much Love to all the staff,

Excellent facilities and treatments, including workshops, individual therapy, group therapy, Step work and In-house shares. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot recommend this centre enough. The care of all of the staff from the Dr’s, nursing, therapists, counsellor’s and ongoing care is remarkable. The catering is fantastic and the housekeeping is also second to none . Thank you all for the amazing experience and for returning me to the person I used to be. Xx
