Novotel London Blackfriars

Location is perfect! It's a 2-3 min walk from the nearest tube station (Jubilee line) and would be a 15-20 min walk to London Eye. The area itself is busy on the weekdays and quiet enough on the weekends.The hotel amenities are okay - they have a restaurant, a pool, a sauna, and a gym. The use of the pool is on a booking basis for an hour and we had no problems booking during our stay. Not many people used it then and we mostly had it to ourselves.The premium room was spacious enough for 2 people. The room cleanliness should be improved as the carpet had stains, the ceiling had leftover double sided tapes, and the floor under the bed was not very clean. You would expect this for the price you pay. The room had a fridge, which we liked. The bathroom could be improved as well - the double doors do not lock and a bit flimsy when closing, there is no separate door for the toilet, and the semi transparent shower wall is annoying during the night when one has to use the toilet and turns on the light, as it lights up one side of the bed. The room specifications also said it is soundproof, but not very much. Although there was minimal noise during our stay, nothing ear plugs could not resolve.Majority of the staff are nice and friendly, too. Some need more training in dealing with customers as they seem to come off as indifferent and uncaring, which isn't acceptable if you are in the hospitality service.Overall, I would stay again. Our experience was pleasant enough.

The hotel is family friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, and the team was very helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient, very close to the underground station. Breakfast is very abundant. One of our kids is coeliac, and must avoid Gluten. We informed the breakfast stuff, especially Rodney and they were extremely aware to this and kind. Rodney was very helpful, brought to our son every morning a variety of gluten free food. Great stuff and great service!

I cannot praise the staff enough for giving us a truly memorable and wonderful night in London. It was my partners birthday and honestly they were amazing. I got the birthday package and it was so sweet with Bloons, a bottle of bubbly and some chocolate cake. The kids were absolutely over the moon with the pool and just everything about it. The staff were wonderful. They were so kind and so lovely. What a wonderful family friendly hotel to stay at.

The location of the hotel is great. Close to the most of touristic areas and nice restaurants. The staff are not friendly and uncaring. It’s better to put a smile on the face and try to be more welcoming. You need to book a slot for the swimming pool. We booked a slot and when we go there it was packed of people and it was a total chaos. What’s the purpose of booking then? For the entrance late night you need to put your card on the slot, it never worked during our stay and we had to wait one of the staff showed up and open the door for us. The room was clean and had a nice view.

I stayed here for a couple of days, I would like to talk about my very first day experience, which is not nice at all, I booked this hotel for 3 adults, I wanted to give it to my parents best experience in London. When I checked in, the room was good except for a couple of things which I really didn't expect from this premium hotel. The table was vertically stand-up, the chair photo which I shared with this review and they didn't provide anything for 3 adults from towels and glasses.When you pay that much money, and you don't get good quality of service. I don't think this money is worth!

Brilliant experience at the Novotel Blackfriars, staff really friendly and gave my children a soft toy on arrival. Room was the best family room, very clean, quiet, lots of room. Generous supply of water in the fridge and biscuits etc. Room was so quiet as well. Breakfast was excellent, my children’s favourite part of the holiday having pancakes and cereal, fruit, salami, cheese etc. Only wish we had more time to use the swimming/spa facilities as looked superb. Thanks to all the staff for our lovely stay ❤️

Good example of Novotel. Friendly staff,very good service, good location. Neat and clean rooms. We went there for a night stay with kid. Had a good time at the hotel. Very good dinner in taste and presentation. Next day breakfast was also perfect for us. It included everything we needed. They do collect bags and keep safe of you do early check-in. It is very helpful if you plan to walk around in london and don’t want to keep the luggage you.

We had a really pleasant stay here. The location is great. It's right next to the tube station and a short walk to the London Eye, Borough Market and some other attractions. Our room was bright, spacious and clean. I must add though that some of the upholstery is showing its age.Most of the staff, including housekeeping, was great. Denisa(?), at the reception, in particular, was really welcoming and helpful.

Location is good, 5 minutes walk to the nearest tube station. Nice bar next to reception food stops around 10 I think.Room was OK, some stains on the carpets blinds let in a lot of light.Pool booking system is a bit odd, pool was a bit cold, sauna seemed to be locked when we were there and there was a guy filming from the jacuzzi so we just left. Cleaners start early so make sure you hang the do not disturb on the door.
