I had an exceptional experience as a patient from booking an appointment to seeing a PA. Telephone wait time was acceptable, in fact I did not wait to speak to a receptionist. I had a telephone consultation with a PA and appt time was prompt. My medical problem was heard and the relevant investigation was requested. I found the staff very competent and professional. I have recently joined this surgery and so far my patient experience has been outstanding. The receptionist has also been very helpful in requesting bloods for me and the travel clinic service has been effecient in contacting me. Overall my patient journey experience has been 5 stars.

Genuinely some very helpful staff here but it is just a shambles. I receive a text message to call to book an appointment to discuss my scan results with a doctor, so I do say straight away just for them to tell me call back Monday morning 8am as we have no appointments left, then what if I’m not a lucky one who can get through to get an appointment, I have to ring up everyday to discuss the results with the doctor? Clueless idiots run this place, there should be a priority for people that need appointments to discuss results, all the doctors do is give a 5 minute call or appointment cause they can’t wait to get rid of you. When I went to the place last it was empty because they never want to see you face to face.

This is the worst surgery to deal with. There is a complete lack of care from one doctor in particular and its impossible to get an appointment even after being on hold for ages, you continuously hear call back tomorrow or go to a walk in centre. Do they not think we have to work to pay for all the private appointments we need due to their complete lack of care. Absolutely awful if this is what the NHS has come to.Partly my fault also as I should just change surgeries but I thought it would improve when they merged, it hasn't.

I have had a chesty cough for over two months. Spoken with the doctors associate once who put me on a course of antibiotics, without even seeing me. No effect of the medication, I insisted on seeing a doctor… which it felt as if I was burdensome for them to be booked in to see the doctor ! On a previous telephone conversation with the receptionist, I was told by rude receptionist “as if you aren’t getting appointments”….. when I said I wanted to see a doctor and not a associate…! When I finally did see a doctor, after a few unsuccessful attempts, I was referred to get an X-ray of the chest… NHS Q’s were long, so I got a referral letter, paid £10 for the letter after countless deliberations, to get an X-ray done privately… the X-ray (paid another £140 for it) was done on Saturday and until the next Thursday, I couldn’t get an appointment with the same doctor who suggested me to have an X-ray in the first place…. Finally I got an appointment to speak to her on the phone despite being on the phone to book an appointment at 8 am sharp! And by the timeMy call is answered, appointments to see the doctor are all gone! I was told that I could be seen by the associate but not the doctor….The receptionist who took my call seemed absolutely disinterested in my call or her job frankly, and dealt with me in a stone cold manner. This is Not expected off healthcare people. Ever since the merger of several surgeries together, the whole system of the surgery seems to have gone from bad to worse… utter waste of NHS funds! A massive disappointment this surgery and its staff have been…. And my illness hasn’t been addressed and my suffering continues for over two months now. Strongly recommend new patients to do their research before applying to join the surgery. What’s the point regestering with a GP, when you can’t get to see them when you need to and the whole process of booking appointments is just jumping hoops. Not professional, and unsympathetic and rude .I wish there were “minus stars” in the rating…. The NHS should review the workings of this surgery seriously as taxpayers monies are just going down the drain!

I don't understand the rationale behind the appointment system at this surgery. I called to make an appointment for my son, he is at school, I am at work - his need isn't urgent, but he does need to see someone; yet you can only book appointments for the day you call - that's if you eventually get through and there is an appointment available.Surely there has to be some way of booking appointments in advance? Not every condition needs to be seen on the day? People need to plan appointments around work/school etc? Most work places will ask you book appts either end of the day - I can't turn up to work for 8am, jump on the phone at 8am and then say right, I've got to go now for a Dr's appt!Makes me wonder how many patients that do need to be seen urgently, give up at the sound of 'We are experiencing a high volume of calls etc etc' and then sorry all of the appts for today have gone.Terrible, terrible service. All hospital outpatient services are back to normal so there is no reason whatsoever, for this type of sub-standard service.

Would give 0 if there was an option. Myself and my children have been unwell for over 3 weeks now. Called everyday this week and 2 days last week to be seen with no luck as I just can’t get through at 8am like they keep telling me to call and when I do get through all the appointments have gone.I was very concerned about my 2 year old so called up mid day to beg for an appointment and was given medical advice by the receptionist because they think they are the doctors. I was told to wait till Monday and buy a cough syrup she recommended. I was adamant I wanted an appointment and finally got one for him after waiting days. Will the receptionists be held accountable for giving medical advice when they are not permitted to and if the patient dies as a result of their advice?I went and the surgery and was like a ghost town, not a single patient in sight. And when I went a couple of times last week to ask for appointments in person it was exactly the same.

Really really bad place to register with. Never get an appointment whenever needed, everytime they suggested to go to walk-in" or call 111.l or call again at 8am next day and when u call same story. Attitude of recepetionist who attends the call is not good. When it was on newtown road its was bit ok but now... its really stressful and sad to see u get to ur GP."

The absurd level of service is shocking! Surgeries are not run how they use to prior to the excuse of covid. The whole management team and FOH would not last in the private sector for sure!Constant delays due to a disorganised team sitting on results, losing results, not taking their jobs seriously, Forgetting" to call and do the basics expected from a GP surgery. How they can justify their income and go home satisfied is beyond me when they don't obide by a basic code of ethics - maintaining professionalism.Due to their lack of care and disorganisation

Absolutely shocking service. You phone at 8 to be put on hold for until 9 for them to say they have no appointments and you should call at 8! Ridiculous. Disgusting that they offer telephone appointments for babies and are willing to prescribe antibiotics without even seeing the patient. I really hope the receptionist Ram doesn’t have children because her lack of compassion for parents who are worried about the sick children is horrifying.
