Called to ask for help with my electric recliner chair this morning, had a visit at 2.00, the gentleman spent about 45 mins trying to correct the problem, but unfortunately was unable to do so. He was really polite and wanted to help, when asked what we owed him he refused payment for his time because he couldn't manage a repair. Excellent service, would thoroughly recommend

I had 8 dinning chairs and 2 dressing table stools reupholstered. I couldn't be more pleased with how they've turned out. I love the fabrics and they are so much more comfortable to sit on now. Thanks Jim for doing such a great job.

Great bloke, doing good work at a reasonable price. Recently replaced our sofa cushion foam and replaced the zip. Very happy with the result. Recommend to anyone.

I took some motorcycle parts to him for reupholstering, he was recommended by a furniture shop in Fareham who I worked for , for over 20 years after the person who normally doe's it Norman Burt of Burt's upholstery of Portwood in Southampton sold his factory and retired. There was 2 seats and 3 backrests to recover, I bought the material online and took the material and the items to him. He came across as half willing to do the job but I didn't know any other upholsterer's at the time . I offered to pay him whatever he wanted to do these fairly small jobs. It took him several months to upholster 2 motorcycle seats, and the backrests well they still haven't been done yet and now we are talking over a year. I've been over to him Lot's of times to see how he is getting on he palms me off with excuse after excuse, tells me I will phone you when there done still no phonecalls. I then decided to go back to his works to collected the bits that he hasn't done and find someone else who will finish the job which is now a year overdue. Guess what he can't find the items now, and told me that he would look for them and leave them outside his door for me to collect on a particular day, I turned up on that particular day guess what they weren't left out, so I put a letter through his letterbox with another day to collect guess what not left out that time either, so I put a second letter through his letterbox to arrange a 3rd time to collect the items guess what, not left out again, so a 3rd letter posted through his letterbox last night telling him not to bother about it. I live in Gosport I traveled to his works on very many occasions, it cost me more in petrol and time waisting than if I paid somebody else to do the job, bearing in mind these are very small jobs, I purchased a new rack from abroad which has a very small back cushion, it was vital that at least I got that part back, so now I've had to repurchase another cushion from abroad so that I can get it recovered in the color that I wanted the last one done in. However the bits that he did recover seem to be alright. But I certainly would not recommend him to anybody after my experience with him and that is a fact. If I was unable to get a new backrest on it's own I would have had to have purchased a complete rack with the backrest on, costing a considerable amount More,

We had our sofa seat cushions replaced as they we’re getting a bit soft and uncomfortable. After dropping off our cushions with the covers still on we were given a fair price and we now have them back in situ making our sofa feel much more supported and new.

I was delighted with my three piece suite which Jim reupholstered for me.
