Took Hoover along from canalside day centre and Jim stripped it down and repaired it free of charge. A truly lovely thing to do as with all the cut backs money is tight .

another happy customerFanastic service today thoroughly recommend. Whilst my machine was still under warranty with Bosch I was advised their engineers couldn't look at it for over a week! This was no good with holiday washing and a toddler. So I rang Gorgie Appliances asked me when suited and came the next day. The Engineer was fantastic, very knowledgable, polite and friendly. Diagnosed problem & fixed within 20 minutes before checking fully worked. He even went the extra mile and put the legs up on my washing machine to stop it wobbling. Well done great service will definitely use your services in future!

Phoned this morning looking for replacement heating element for broken oven. Got it here for 2/3 of the price quoted by electrolux, delivered that same evening with handy advice on how to change it.

I used this company a couple of years ago to sort my washing machine and had a very pleasant experience...I'm afraid the same cant be said this time. Im giving them 3 stars as the actual job of fixing my machine was great and it seems to work like a dream, however they need to go on a course in customer communication"....when the machine was taken away on a Monday I was told it would be a couple of days...after 5 days I phoned. Maybe next week i was told so I phoned again on Tuesday. This time they said it just needed to go through a test and so if it was fine would be delivered back. Phoned again on Wednesday to find out the bearings were out of stock and so no it hadn't been fixed at all. It was retuned to me today and in way of an apology they reduced the bill by £24. That was good of them

Although the shopkeeper is a lovely person and has been kind during our correspondance the service received was quite disappointing. I took in 2 hoovers. The first one was 'fixed'... Twice.. And currently not working for the same reason I took it in both times.. The second one was kept in store for 1.5 month just to be told there's nothing he can do. Although I'd love to, unfortunately I won't be taking my appliances for repair anymore :(

My washing machine broke so I had to get a new one, I got one from these guys as they were local to the area for me, extremely professional help, they came in and installed my washing machine with ease. Taught me how to work the machine, the worker was very friendly and just got stuck into his job! He then asked me if I was satisfied before he was going to leave stating 'I want to you be happy before I go now that is customer service! Excellent experience from these guys."

Very good experience, professional service, I phoned them about my washer/dryer. They had the part what I needed and came next day to fix it. Iam so happy with the result.

Avoid at all costs! I phoned this place because my fridge had broken down. I, a member of the public with no training let alone qualifications in any discipline of engineering was then quizzed as to what was wrong. The obvious and only answer was It is not working". I was then told that it was the thermostat that had broken

Terrible experience - at first said the fridge part I needed would be cheap, approximately £20-40. After I paid the deposit, they later rang me and informed me it was £60-80+. When I asked how much outstanding I had on the balance, said it would be around £80. Then when they came to fit the part they claimed the overall price would be £120 plus VAT!!What a rip off and terrible customer service. When I had emailed asking to know the cost prior to the engineer coming they ignored my question.The engineer was nice but the manager was very rude.Do not recommend.

My dishwasher broke down, they were able to come out the next day and not only did they fix it, they also showed me some common problems that I can fix myself. Very knowlegable, great service and price, another local company was going to charge me £40 for just arriving! I would definitely use this company again.
