Modulus: Guitar Amp Parts and Kits

Unbelievable good sounding and looking amplifiers. Fantastic support and knowledge by Michael of anything amp related.

I bought a 'Tweed Deluxe' kit here - simply because it was easier to 'get' than competitors and I wanted something I could modify myself without reducing its value. Don't expect a 'fake Fender' - Modulus use turret boards rather than eyelets, and in any case, your first build is likelier to be messier than you expect. However, do expect something that's fun to build, play and adapt. I had to ask the proprietor, Michael Mortimer, a question about transformer wire colour codes and I found him very helpful.

Michael built a great JCM800 clone for me. I run a small recording studio and have seen (and own) a lot of amps: I rarely come across something this quality. The amp sounds amazing and oozes total quality. On top of that, Michael was a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend Modulus Amplification high enough!

Imagine getting a gig with days notice, plugging in your guitar to your amplifier and it doesn’t work, and you’re in panic mode. After trying to find someone to fix my valve amp in and around Angus/Dundee to no avail I eventually talked to Michael from Modulus up in Kirriemuir, he was helpful and only to happy to oblige quickly.
