Terrible building standards Terrible customer service. I’ve had a water leak from a pipe in a wall cavity. It turns out when it was built, they screwed the plaster board screws straight through the pipe. They repaired it by soldering the screw into the pipe before repairing the wall. Upon fitting the new poster board they again popped another screw through the same pipe. Years later as the screw rusted away, it started to leak. What a mess, what a company with a total lack of accountability. Avoid at all costs.

Went to new build at Seaburn. Asked lady if we needed an appointment. She pointed at advertisement and told us to ring number. She was very aloof.Nobody at sales office at that time. A bit of good customer service may have been to make us an appointment there and then and invite us in.If this is attitude before sale god help after sales.Wouldn't consider handing over my cash to them now.

Still waiting for a call back from thursday. Rang again twice and I was advised I would receive a call back from the sales team to answer my queries but its Sunday now and still no call...

Avant homes are possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with despite 30yrs running my own business. The standard of workmanship in a house recently bought by my daughter is appalling .The local site manager at YARM continually promises to rectify problems , doesn't bother , and then denies knowledge of problems to higher management.Avant are not registered with the consumer ombudsman, the Nhbc is well known for being toothless, and this vertically chalanged site manager appears to enjoy bullying his female customers.
