Very unusual but an excellent, quirky local landmark! Can't go inside as it is private property, but the Bridgewater Canal is lovely along this stretch towards Worsley and you can get some great views of lighthouse from the towpath. You can see the top of it from the road if you're driving past.

Monton Lighthouse
This is a lighthouse that the owner built in his garden and private property. It’s just something different which attracts attention in the area next to the canal. You can’t eat here as one reviewer has suggested it’s not a cafe or pub. But looks good

Great place and the staff are super nice. They created a lovely spacious outdoor and indoor seating area to cope with new covid rules and restrictions. The food is excellent

I'm very lucky having a lighthouse close to my house to guide me home safely through stormy nights. It's prevented me falling into the canal or accidentally walking up the sliproad to the M60.
