Julie Smith - Treasured Words Celebrant

Having been to a wedding where there was a celebrant instead of a boring registrar, I loved the personalisation of it. I looked into it more and came across Jules via a friend. We booked her to and she did our daughters naming ceremony which coincided with her 1st birthday last weekend. Jules gave us a questionnaire in advance and stitched all our answers together to create our story. Everyone commented on how lovely and personalised it was, and she even got a booking from one of our guests! We have also booked Julie to do our wedding next year which is lovely as she’ll know us as a family and can put her own take on us!

Julie was absolutely amazing through the whole process. We were very nervous and she guided us through and offered us reassurance. She made a script that was so personal and the little touches were very special. She made personalised tissues with our names on for our guests and after sent us a beautiful personalised folder with our vows in. She incorporated our dog (who was best man) into the ceremony by leaving a space for him to put his paw print on the certificate and she even provided and ink pad which doesn’t leave ink residue so wouldn’t ruin my dress! I’ve worked with Jules on a number of occasions. She is so good at what she does; a real people person! She is great with words and always goes that extra mile to ensure her clients receive a unique and special personalised ceremony. I can’t recommend her enough!

I can’t put it into words how perfect our ceremony was, all thanks to Julie. From the day we contacted her, to the big day, we felt like Julie had always been a close friend to us. We enjoyed meeting over zoom in the first instance and even got to go out for breakfast together where we caught up for hours! It is no wonder Julie does what she does for a living, her speech was flawless, and so meaningful. It’s almost a shame you only get married once (hopefully!)… We’ll just have to keep renewing our vows so we get to book Julie over and over again!! Haha!

Jules couldn’t have been more helpful or created a more perfect script for our wedding day. It was so personal and everyone complimented how it summed up myself and my husband completely. Jules shared stories and memories of our 11 years together and included our son in our ceremony which is something that was very important to us! Couldn’t recommend her more. Julie was an incredible celebrant who made our wedding day feel effortless. She put together a detailed and heartfelt script for the ceremony based on information we'd given her and, on the day itself, felt like a part of the family. She even looked after the dogs for us!
