Parrot's Drumble Nature Reserve
If you fancy somewhere in the middle of Stoke on Trent.....? You cold do a lot worse than Parrot's Drumble. Lovely little nature reserve with amazing bluebells and an orange stream (as a result of the local mine). Most you'll walk is about a mile, car parking nearby by. Worth a stroll after going to freeport talke!

A quiet, hidden gem in the most unlikely of places!Walk down the access path to carpets of wood anemones, bluebells and celandines, weaving paths and bridges.Car park is small and the paths can get quite muddy at wetter times. No suitable for wheelchair or pushchairs.

A pleasant surprise to find a secluded nature reserve alongside the industrial area.- The name of the reserve comes from the original owner, Richard Parrott (from the 1700’s). Drumble" is a term used for a Wooded valley with a stream running through it.- Once you get past the initial pathway from the entrance with a small parking area (~6 cars)

Lovely woodland walk, very quiet and peaceful. Quite a few paths to take through the woods, so it’s a good idea to check the map at the start!

Really impressed with this little reserve. There are a couple of lovely walks you can do and since we visited in October, they were just about as beautifully autumnal as you can get. Very muddy in places so walking boots or wellies are a must.We took our dog and a three month old in a carrier and had no difficulty with either, though you're not getting round with a pushchair!Shame about the litter - no broken glass but a lot of cans and wrappers in places where log seats are present.

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve. Woodland full of bluebells in May. Uneven ground, wear sensible footwear.

Parrot's Drumble Nature Reserve
Such a beautiful a serene place, we really enjoyed our family walk. The paths are easy to follow, but it could benefit from some waking sign posts. We will definitely go back!Be aware the parking at the entrance can only fit 3, maybe 4 cars. It's not that far from the shopping centre though, so you could easily park there & walk down.

Great walk more of a summer walk if you don’t want to get too muddy but if you don’t mind it then it’s amazing the walk can be quite big if you want or just take the smaller loop.
