Holiday Inn Express Lincoln City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here while visiting the University of Lincoln for an open day. Very lovely hotel, the room was very clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfy and I had a great night sleep, with no noise disturbances.The lobby/entrance area was very nice, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel is situated in a brilliant location, only a few minutes walk from the university and the town center.Had breakfast in the morning, and although there wasn't a massive cooked breakfast selection (buffet), it was decent and I have no complaints.Overall, a great experience and I would happily return to this hotel.

Stayed here overnight with my wife and daughter as my daughter had a uni interview. The hotel is easy walking distance to the university, the high street, and fairly close to the city centre, cathedral, castle etc. Room was spacious and clean. Facilities were good. Reception staff were super switched on, helpful and professional every time we encountered them. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were constantly checking, topping up food, and helping customers. Car park has plenty of space and is £8.50 for 24 hours. Lots of breakfast choice including full English, toast, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Very reasonable price and a good hotel. Well done to all the staff and thanks for your hard work.

Stayed here one night for our daughters graduation in the cathedral.Rooms very clean and tidy with air conditioning but you can turn that off and open the window for fresh air.Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a dedicated taxi phone if you need one. We did but they were unable to get to us in time but the guy on reception tried several other companies for us. All no luck, so we walked to the cathedral instead which only took about 20 minutes.Car park is not included in the room rate and is £7.50 per 24hrs. There is a machine outside the door to pay for parking.

Have used this hotel on two occasions over the last few weeks. It's conveniently located within a shortish walk to the town centre. By that I mean a twenty minute relaxed walk.....which suits us entirely. It's quiet and safe. The car park is located at the rear and is paid for seperately by a machine located within the hotel. The parking rates are reasonable.The rooms are generously sized for this type of hotel. They have everything needed for a short stay. Breakfast is included and is a hot and cold buffet style available in a pleasent breakfast room.Plenty of staff so the buffet was always topped up and tables cleaned down.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and my experience was not pleasant at all. Some drunken people were making noise in front of my room at 3am!I couldn't sleep and the receptionist was nonchalant when I called to report the disturbance.

The service was exceptional. The hotel staff were extremely helpful throughout my stay and that very much appreciated.The rooms and breakfast are very much standard issue and comparable with other Holiday Inn Express' across the UK.Only complaint is that sun will creep in through the edges of the curtains, and road noise is definitely something that you will be hearing throughout your stay.Still a great option for a short business trip though. Location is great and parking is readily available.

I visited from London for a family wedding this weekend and stayed two nights.The check in process was rather long, the front desk staff didn’t seem very efficient getting people assigned rooms and keys.We were essentially ignored and assumed to be with another group waiting to check in.Eventually, when we were attended to , I was asked to pay for the rooms despite paying through the third party app I used to book. We didn’t arrive into Lincoln until just before midnight and we were so exhausted so this was frustrating because they were asking us to wait while they checked their database despite showing the confirmation email with the payment receipt. Eventually they gave us the keys so we could rest and they would chase it the next dayThe next morning, I called reception from my room and asked if they could help me order a cab as we were making out way to the wedding. The lady I spoke to said I needed to come down and use the taxi phone they had in the reception first before they could call other places.I was a bit confused why they couldn’t call the cab on my behalf especially because when I came down, they were chatting casually behind the front desk AND the taxi rank attached to that line didn’t have any cabs so they ended up needing to call a few others on my behalf anyway, further delaying me for the wedding ceremony.Overall there seemed to be a lack of urgency, maybe that’s more of culture thing. Being a Londoner, we’re always rushing somewhereThe rooms were clean, breakfast was fine but all in all, it was an unremarkable stay. I do not think I’d book again
