Montrose Trees Ltd

We have used Montrose a few times now, they are punctual, tidy and always do a fantastic job. The last job was to take their advice on which tree would be suitable for our garden, we are very happy with the work and the new birch tree.

I cannot praise them too highly. The team arrived on team, confirmed with me exactly what they'd be doing, and were very careful not to disturb or damage anything else in the garden as they worked. Amazingly, when they'd finished there was not so much as a leaf left behind! I recommend them highly and will certainly use them again.

A very disappointing experience with Montrose Trees. Initially asked for their advice on a suitable screening tree and they suggested moving a tree already in the garden. We agreed to that and also for some new turf to be laid. On the day, they absolutely butchered the existing tree getting it out of the ground and then went on to say it was the wrong time of year to move a tree! Rather bizarre when they are the tree experts and the whole thing was their idea. Needless to say, that tree (which they advised was worth over £1,000) is now a dead brown stick in the ground. The turf was not properly prepped so new grass is now covered in weeds. The straps snapped within 48 hours on the tree they planted. Plus to top things off they got the dates completely wrong so we took a day off work and had the turf delivered but they did not arrive to to do the work. I don't like leaving bad reviews but we have tried to get Montrose Trees to come and assist when the straps broke (which exacerbated the death of the tree) and despite assurances on three occasions that they would be round sometime that afternoon" they never did. So we paid over £1

I cannot speak too highly of Montrose Trees, they are a cut above other tree surgeons I have used in the past. The team were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The work was executed in accordance with their very competitive written quotation and the invoice submitted after completion of the work. The site was left clean and tidy. I will certainly use this company again and give them full marks.

We recently invited Montrose Trees to carry out work in our garden for a second time as we were so pleased with their previous work for us. They were to reduce the crown of a Japanese maple, fell a troublesome Rowan and trim a couple of high firs. Communication with the firm was excellent, they arrived on time and carried out the work efficiently and left the garden very tidy as they left. Would highly recommend.

We used Montrose Trees to trim 2 oak trees and a hornbeam on our property. From the start we were impressed with their professionalism and communication.On the day, they arrived on time. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves.Their quote was very competitive, and we are happy to recommend them. We will definitely be using Montrose Trees again.

The Montrose Trees team did a great job on the trees in my garden this week, reducing some very overgrown trees and removing a dead one.The team were very friendly and professional and worked hard all day. The garden is now looking a lot neater. I'm very pleased with the work.
