Felt generally unclean. Our room clearly hadn't been hoovered and I found a patch of blood stains on the mattress. The bathroom was filthy. Dust was built up, hair, grime in the shower (the room clearly hadn't been deep cleaned in a long time).I did mention this to the receptionist and she very quickly gave us another which was much cleaner (but still had build up of dirt in some places). Unfortunately, after seeing how dirty the other room was, I felt uneasy the whole stay wondering just how much this place PROPERLY gets cleaned (not just wiped over).

Staff were very friendly and helpful but the cleanines of the rooms was absolutely shocking! The bathroom just hadn't been cleaned. Dirty shower, toilet and sink and a mirror covered in toothpaste spray and water marks. Hair in the bath etc.

Room was FREEZING! Turned the air conditioning up as soon as I got in the room but after sitting in my coat and hat for half an hour and not noticing any improvement I went to reception who told me there was a fault with the system. They gave me an electric heater but it was too late for it to heat the room so I had to get in to a cold bed. Woke up at 2am sweating profusely - the room was absolutely boiling! No thermostat on the heater so it just got hotter and hotter. Had to open the window which let the traffic noise, including many ambulance/police car sirens, in to the room. Woke up again at 4am because it was raining and drips from the roof were falling on to the thin metallic window sill making an incredibly loud 'ding'! sound. I thought it was an alarm or something electronic at first.Looking at the reviews online it seems this heating problem has been ongoing for over a year. They really should have sorted it by now or made alternative arrangements rather than waiting for guests to get cold and complain. This aside it was a decent enough place. Standard no-frills Travelodge. Room was clean, nothing broken. There is a bar/cafe on the ground floor which also serves breakfast in the morning. Subway and Costa Coffee next door. It's situated on the middle of a roundabout in an industrial area between the old airfield and Rolls-Royce plant. There is nothing of interest in the vicinity - no pub/restaurant/shop. And no transport links. The road is full of traffic at rush hour.

Worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. The bathroom is unclean hairs everywhere, see pics, not what you want. The bathroom also smells of sewage. The aircon does not work either. The food was okay but would advise to anyone to avoid the hotel. 1 out of 10 would not stay in a Travelodge again. I was tempted not to shower as it feels so dirty but really needed one. Cannot wait for what breakfast has in store for me. I'm not sure how they even operate like this.

The rooms themselves are not the cleanest, although the beds/bedding were very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Serving staff at breakfast need a course in customer service as were rude and very abrasive. The breakfast was terrible, the scrambled eggs a mixture of undercooked and overcooked (hard and chewy), mushrooms dried up and half raw, pancakes and croissants cold as if just come out of a refrigerator, soggy fruit salad and the coffee machine broken definitely not worth £9.50 each.

Stayed here for work. The rooms are filthy.Mugs in the room.had hairs in them.Chairs in the room covered in stains. The WiFi (which I paid extra for) didn't work.Staff were miserable.Cutlery and bar area not even wiped down.Probably one of the worst if not the worst hotel I've stayed in.

I never leave reviews but.... Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!!!!Rooms were disgustingly dirty. Bathroom toilet bowl was stained and the bathroom was filthy! The sink took about 2 hours to drain. The tea and coffee trays looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The A/C didn't work and I was told it wouldn't be fixed anytime soon. We were given two fans, with two young children which wasn't ideal. Paid £30 for an extra quiet room which was pointless. Key card stopped working twice and we were on the second floor which was extremely annoying. Definitely would NEVER stay here again. Breakfast time didn't start until 8 either and again if you have children who get up early this isn't ideal.

I stayed with my dad and my little sister, they gave us a great bedroom but the receptionist was acting really rude to us and our room that we were meant to have wasn't cleaned yet so they had to give us a new room and you are right next to the main road so it was pretty loud. But other than that you get a decent room: a bathroom including; a bath; a shower and a mirror. You also get a small TV,a desk table, and a small wardrobe. Would rate this travel lodge an overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐star.

Having accidentally been booked an access room, another was requested but denied due to unavailability. As the access was on the ground floor, the door to the hallway was right off the lobby. Right next to the door was a vending machine, which, if someone was using, made accessing it difficult. The electric key often wouldn't open the door (a nightmare, I am sure for someone in a wheelchair who actually needed the access room! The hallway was littered despite a hoover sitting outside a room!As a manager of a service that supports individuals with physical challenges, I am not sure who was consulted to inspire whatever creation was deemed to be an access room. There were more handles in the bathroom than would EVER be necessary. The bed was so low to the ground that even if someone could weight-bare, the height would be difficult to manage from bed to wheelchair. There was no offer of hoisting equipment. The shower seat in the wet room was solid - it needs drainage holes and, preferably an access area to support someone with hygienic cleaning. Neither of the dispensers had soap, and the hand soap" read face and body gel and vice-versa. Overall

Initial room had a bathroom that smelt really bad but I got the room changed and the new room was much better. Higher up less road noise. Comfortable bed and reasonable shower.Staff were all friendly and attentive.
