Loved the range of product on sale. All ages catered for from the most basic of toys to the most challenging technic lego. Stock levels seemed good and the store layout was well thought out. Ques at the tills were fairly long but in the lead up to Christmas to be expected. Staff seemed knowledgeable and were helpful with our enquiries.

took our childrens hoverboards in 1 week after purchasing them as they were faulty. To be fobbed off by the staff saying there is no warranty sticker on the bottom of them. Yet all over the website under the terms and conditions section it tells you that the receipt of the warranty, just any old way of trying to fob you off for faulty goods.Considering I’ve spent 520 on 4 hoverboards of which 4 of them all stopped working within a week and they have refused to even look at them. I will be taking it further.I have since had a call back with the manager trying to help me out so I will update the review accordingly once I know any outcomes or updates

I bought an electric car for my nephew because it was his birthday , I got home and the first thing I did was charge the battery, but it didn't work, the next day I went back to the store to explain the situation to which the manager responded harshly, he didn't want to replace it and he didn't want to give the money back, to which I spent a day with them to make sure I was right, I left a contact number to be informed what was happening, no one called again, I went to the store where a young boy actually helped me truth and they gave me another one instead, so I wasted a lot of time for a £120 electric car, for sure I don't want to buy anything from there again with such customer service

Really traumatising experience in the Llandudno store. Smyths toy stores refuse returns for any reason and will neither refund or exchange a purchase. You will not be able to exchange anything whether it be faulty or have a manufacturing fault. Their policy is one of “it’s not our problem, return it to the manufacturer”. We are currently in the process of returning a faulty Lego set that cost £84.99 which the staff swore was all good and they emptied the contents of the box all over their counter whereby we lost many parts behind their counter and all over the floor. They stuffed what remained back in the box and refused to deal any further with the complaint. I e-mailed the company and their response was the same. I am now in the process of contacting trading standards as I believe that by refusing returns they are trading illegally. I reminded the manager of my rights under the law and he told me he was not interested in addressing those concerns. Buyers beware, as this kind of trading is beyond reprehensible and we will never set foot in that store again.

What an awful visit. Firstly, the store didn't smell pleasant.. then one of the staff members K.D rushing around walked into my little girl to get the ladders he was very rude to my partner too and asked her to 'move' not a please in site, on other hand the lad on the till was amazing and very kind....

Im 19 years old and never having been to a ToysRUs or Smyths Toys, it was actually like my inner child had been healed. I know its just a shop but younger me was screaming inside. My friend who came with me started laughing when we got through the door as my face literally lit up at the amount of toys in one store and how high the shelves were. I spent ages in that shop and it was so nice to see new and nostalgic toys. I ended up buying my brother a lego set for his birthday which i know he will like. I cant wait to come again

Omg... care bears are back! Great shop... t be honest, its pretty much the only large toy shop for 30 miles or more! Its huge and has lotsof choice and ideas if you are looking for gift ideas for kids. Theres even a customer loo if your little one gets caught short. Great place.

Do not risk buying anything as they will not refund unless you can prove 100% faulty in their eyes. Dismissing a lady in front of me with a faulty wheel on pram saying it didn't judder when she said it does, then saying my item with Intermittent electric blips was not faulty as did not do in front of them as it did not do in front of them they will not refund even within 30 days of purchase and being covered by consumer law ! The “manager” Adam hung up on me when i asked his full name and my poor daughter has had to bring faulty item home ! £50 waste Amazon much more customers friendly!
