I went to see Ram back in October 2022 after almost a year of pain in my right shoulder following a simple strain. I saw NHS physio and was given assorted exercises which did nothing to help.Over time the pain became debilitating and I lost a great deal of my range of movement, was unable to sleep and my mental health being being affected.I tried conventional NHS routes which were complex, full of delays and convoluted at best. Worth noting I also work for the NHS as an senior Occupational Therapist.Ram took a detailed history, reviewed my shoulder and diagnosed a frozen shoulder. He carried out an ultrasound and found inflammation in my AC joint and bursa and scarring of my glenohumoral joint due to the prolonged inflammation. With my consent Ram carried out guided steroid injections to the affected areas. He attempted hydrodilation of my glenohumoral joint but due to the severity of the inflammation this was just too painful. We booked a further appointment 3 weeks later to try again and this was successful in releasing the scarring with no pain or issues. It is now the 10th of Jan 2023 and while I will likely need a further steroid injection due to some minor return of pain, my shoulder is greatly improved. While there is a cost to this treatment it is reasonable and the outcomes meant a dramatic improvement within a few days. I would highly recommend Ram and the service he provides.
