Dancing feet Ceilidh Band

Kate and Roddy hosted the ceilidh for our wedding and they were simply brilliant! We had a lot of international guests at our wedding who had never been to or even heard of a ceilidh before and we really wanted them to have a taste of it without it being intimidating or overwhelming. Everyone had so much fun experiencing this it was a highlight! We chose Kate and Roddy, as a pair they really bring the sound of a full band, Kate is also a caller who can help demonstrate the dances for everyone. Communication was easy and efficient, they are wonderful musicians and kind people - highly recommend, we had a blast!

Dancing Feet played at our wedding and we couldn't recommend them more highly. They did a fantastic job reading the room throughout the evening - getting people up and dancing, as well as giving us all a rest and settling down with some gentler numbers when needed. I was incredibly impressed by the diversity of the instruments that their act featured - and also the encyclopedic knowledge of folk tunes they used when shouting out for requests from us. We had Dancing Feet perform at our wedding in Alnwick and were blown away by there talent and performance! They played 2 sets, one that was more chilled out just after our ceremony, creating a magical atmosphere and another more upbeat and amped set later after the wedding reception. Our guests really enjoyed the music they played and got lots of people dancing away. The array of instruments played and looping pedal created such a full sound! I can't recommend Dancing Feet enough!

They are great musicians, very friendly and play for dancers and non dancers to get the most out of their experience. They played my daughters wedding and Inhave been to public ceilidhs where they have played to a mix of local and foreign tourists. Everyone has fun when they play.

I booked Dancing Feet for a ceilidh at an event for the charity Reforesting Scotland. They were excellent. The musicianship was great, with an impressive instrumental range for a two-person band, and they had a brilliant repertoire. However, what impressed me most was their ability to keep the energy up while playing to what was a rather sparse audience for most of the set. It turned out that we had maybe arranged too many good things in parallel for the evening, and the dance floor was almost deserted at times. Nonetheless, the band carried on as though they were playing to a packed, enthusiastic audience at all times. They also adapted by mixing more songs in with the dances and even taking requests.Five stars.
