Three Counties Hotel
Great location. Rooms good. Bed comfortable which matters and had a bath. Situated about 30 min walk from Cathedral and can take a lovely walk alongside the river Wye. Receptionists were helpful and happy. Diane behind the bar made my trip, so informative about places to go and a lovely lady. Had a great time

Despite the efforts of kindly, hard working staff, this hotel is desperately in need of refurbishment to bring it up to 3 Stars.Beds, bathrooms and decor used, drab, old, marked. No glasses available in bedrooms. The shower veers between very hot and cool and only works on a small centre spray, otherwise it just dribbles (and can't be angle adjusted)My advice is to stay elsewhere.

Staff are lovely and all very welcoming. The hotel is in a good location as it is easy to get to - I was staying on business so that was important to me. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed, my only negative comment is that the bathroom is looking tired because in my room the shower door over the bath doesn't have a seal and water runs straight onto the floor, causing damage to the bathroom door and the bath panel. I was in a garden room which was handy as I could park outside the room.Covid precautions are still in place, and I was comfortable with the level of cleanliness.

Staff very helpful.Rooms spacious with lots of storage.Nice bar and restaurant although limited menu.Would recommend using bottled water as the tap water not very nice.It can be awkward getting out of the hotel depending which way you are going as the road is very busy.

I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, could benefit a little from updating.If it has a drawback, the rear patio has no provision for wheelchairs. But overall it was a positive experience

I attended a networking event at the hotel. The staff were welcoming and the ambience relaxed. The breakfast choice was huge, and nothing was too much trouble. It was hot, unlimited and really tasty. Facilities were clean and tidy.Following the meeting I asked if i was ok to stay longer, i worked in the lobby and made to feel most welcome, I would have no hesitation in returning. I have no idea of the rooms but would be tempted to use if needed in the future.

I am absolutely appalled by the service of this hotel regarding the final part relating to the evening buffet for our very special wedding day.They completely ruined our food and it was delivered from the kitchens burnt and we could not consume at all. We have photographic evidence on file and the hotel denied any responsibility.There are other concerns but for legal reasons I will not comment any further at this stage. I have contacted many departments to discuss these issues. In my view this hotel is a disgrace and this hotel should close ASAP and I advise any couples thinking of booking a wedding with this hotel please. The leader of this business is not up to standard and I advise him to sell quickly he has dealt with our special day like a complete amateur.

Came here 3 years ago to attend our staff conference and I think they maintained the service quite well. Good variety of refreshment, including tea, coffee, biscuits and fruits. Noted that they had sound system issues last time and they have fixed it now. I give it 4 stars because I still can't comment much about the hotel service.

Really poor hotel. Booked in for a business trip with a few others. Night porter was nice and greeted us very politely. Rooms however were a great disappointment. It had been a hot day and we arrived about 10.30pm. The foyer was OK in temperature, but as you went up the stairs it got hotter and hotter. The windows of my room had been left open however this was only by about an inch. They did not open further. There was no air conditioning and no fan in the room! The bathroom, although clean, was a disgrace for the price that they were charging. Poor shower pressure lumps out of the cast iron bath tub and marks all over the floor. I appreciate that there were plenty of tea and coffee etc, but that did not make up for the poor room conditions.
