Really nice, clean, well run home with lovely staff who look after their residents with lots of TLC.

I honestly wish there was a no star rating! Reluctantly giving 1 star! If I could rename them it would be NO CARE UK!!! Some carers are really good but this home fails on many other parts.Downstairs units are very homely and relatives look well cared for, Upstairs units is a whole other kettle of fish, Left to their own devices, plunked in front if a tv and left to it.Activities are near to ZERO, unless you include watching TV an activity!I am a relative of a recently passed away resident. When our dad passed away we got the call and carers were fantastic with us as was reception staff when we entered, Management couldn't even be bothered to come out their office when my relative was taken out by undertakers, a sheer lack of respect!We called next day and asked to come in to sort our relatives belongings and was told Yes. Bearing in mind our relative passed on Monday at 8.30am, we went in at Tuesday at 12.30 only to find all my relatives belongings DUMPED in BLACK BAGS and boxes. This was so distressing for us as we were not even allowed time to sort these belongings ourselves! The carer was told by management to do this and to top it if they have had the cheek to over charge us then added an extra 3 days after my relative passed as this is THE NORM!!!We have spoken to many other relatives and they feel the same on numerous complains, 1 in particular received a call asking for £1.53 that was left outstanding from their relatives room account!!! So distasteful and UNCARING!In particular just before dad's passing I went in to find Dad struggling for breath and totally unresponsive only to be told by a carer oh he has been like that for a few hours

Phone enquiry today re a place for my Dad and all they asked about was how his place was going to be funded. We are at the very early stages of looking for permanent care so don’t actually know any of this information. We wanted to visit to see what kind of facilities they have and get a feel for the place and staff and this has totally put me off. This isn’t a reflection on the staff at the home as I think my call was answered at a National office but definitely not the response I was looking for. Quite upsetting actually.

This place is despicable, I give this home zero stars on everything from infection control, hygiene, the standard of care is beyond poor residents are left in their own urine and fecese. The home is poorly managed and I wouldn't put my elderly relatives in that place.
