Mercure Inverness Hotel

Hotel rooms are old and not well maintained. Toilet is all the way in one corner of the bathroom so you have to sit diagonally. Sink is so narrow that you can't fill up a kettle or bottle. Only two power points at the table, none near bed, and no USB charging. Bed linen had a black stain on it. Location is central, but the windows have no sound proofing so you will hear all the clubbing noise that goes past midnight if you stay on the weekend.

Our experience was lovely. Absolutely the best location for restaurants, shopping, train station, and meeting up with tours. Restaurant and dining room have beautiful views of the river. The staff are so nice and go the extra mile, and of all the lovely breakfasts we’ve had at 4 star hotels on our Scotland visit so far, the breakfast here was by far the best. ❤️

If you are looking to have a meal book way in advance . Not kind to the customers staying at the hotel. More interested in outside customers.Front desk staff excellent. Bar staff much to be desired!From USA and would not tolerate. Will not recommend to other friends coming to this area!!

The location is amazing. The room was clean and I have nothing bad to say about the room. I would come back to stay. However the food, just don't do it. We had dinner, a starter and a main. The soup was good and the fried squid had a good flavour, I would order that again for sure. The bare area is nice. The main we had was steak and we asked it to be medium rare and both was over well done. The server didn't check up with us even through we were the only ones there. When they took the plates we informed the server about the issue with the well done steak and the server didn't really care. We had breakfast at the hotel and it's not worth it at all. The scramble egg were wet, the bacon was dry, there wasn't any fried eggs left when we came and there was still 1,5 left of the breakfast time. On all tables there was papirs saying that if we weren't giving them 10/10 review please let the staff know. But all staff didn't really seam to care.The receptionist, Jo, she was very sweet and extremely polite. She did a very good job making us feel welcome.

The rooms are a little small, but still a great room!The food is amazing!! I had the leek soup, Penne pasta with a tomato sauce, and the Toffee sticky pudding.The view is stunning! You look right over the River Ness!

Hotel is in a lovely central location. Our room was bright and clean.Food was lovely. Dinner was quick and delicious. We had 3 courses and drinks, before heading out for a riverside walk.Breakfast was lovely. There was lots of choice and it was tasty. Staff restocked the pastries as we arrived and my cinnamon swirl was soooo good.

My wife and I stayed there back in October, while the location was great and the room was clean but dated the service on the other hand was lacking. When we had dinner the wait staff was constantly changing from one person to the next and always had to wave someone over to receive service and just this morning my wife received an email from the rental company that there was an extra parking ticket on our rental car for being in the parking lot for getting our luggage from the lobby and I clearly ask the lady at the front desk if it was OK to park in the back when we come back with the rental in order to get our luggage because it would be unsafe to park out on the street, she said it was OK. Little did we know the hotel gouges when your not looking you find out when your home for almost 2 months reflecting on a great trip that you had then an email pops up for a £100 charge for late parking because you were in their parking lot for 13mins to get your luggage. I wasn't going to leave a review about the staff service in the restaurant but now I would never recommend your hotel to anyone even if my life depends on it.

Stayed in room 101 , a privilege room.. and it is probably the smallest privilege room I have stayed in.. £180 for the night.. and the room looks right out onto the roof and the ventilation ducting on the roof you could hear all night, and the windows in the room were rattling with the wind all night, and they also do not seal shut properly... You could pull the window away from the seal with your hand and a draft was coming in through them all night.. extremely disappointed with my stay, I stay quite regularly in the privilege rooms and I can safely say I won't be staying again in them if I end up with room 101 again. The staff as always are really nice but the room just wasn't good enough especially for the price paid

We have a large family of 16 & they took care of us wonderfully!! The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, & the rooms are very comfortable & clean. We are ALL very happy!!

Beautiful peaceful room overlooking the river. Everything you could want or need in the room. Very clean and comfortable. Location is fantastic, out the door and into the wild streets of Inverness. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide selection of hot and cold food. Cooked breakfast served up by a friendly and charming local chef. Reception staff also nice and helpful assisting with requests. Overall a wonderful and will book again.
