The Close Hotel
Love the ambience of the hotel along with the decor of an old manor, but with modern comfort of good heating and comfortable beds. The restaurant is impeccable and served well made items for meals. The bar had local beer offerings from cask as well as the more modern imported beers. Good show, ol hotel.

We really are very lucky to have such an amazing place in Tetbury! The customer service from staff is always faultless, food and drinks are top quality and in general just an A* business!

The Close Hotel
Stayed here for 2 nights for a local wedding. Such a lovely hotel, beautiful building and tastefully decorated. Receptionist was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean with great coffee and tea facilities, and also lovely bath products. Breakfast had good options, with very good quality ingredients.

We ended up coming here after a long tiring day and wanted some nice cream tea. We tried a few places in Tetbury for a decent food and cream tea but none looked appealing. Finally we found this place and loved it from the point we entered.It's a 16th century manor house converted into a 3 star hotel. It is located in the heart of Tetbury and close to the market place. They have a decent bar and a restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. We tried their food and drink which was on the spot. However for me their highlight was cream tea. There was nothing to complain about, it was warm, soft, fresh and delicious. The cream was milky and creamy which just spread smoothly over the scone. 10/10 for cream tea.However it's bit expensive plus they add 12.5% service charge which is ridiculous.Definitely worth a visit.I don't know anything about rooms as I never stayed here.

Very dog friendly place. We only came for afternoon tea, staff members were very friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea was delicious, 2 scones each! Nice coffee and tea (perhaps would like an opportunity for top up based on how much food there was)

The Close Hotel
Incredibly disappointed. We had booked a couple of nights at the hotel, having booked on numerous occasions prior. Having to head back to Cornwall due to family medical emergency the afternoon we arrived, having only put our bags in the room, we were told there was no sort of common decency in terms of a future rebooking. Extremely disappointed, will not recommend.

Amazing stay at the hotel. Really professional service and friendly staff. Only minus was no air conditioning but they provided us two fans. Which was lovely.The town is very quiet but really ideal for us as we wanted a quiet relaxing holiday. Very friendly town as people say hello. Would highly recommend a visit.
