I found this independent specialist shop when searching for gear for a recent trip. it has knowledgeable and motivated staff who know the gear they sell. All the staff partake in outdoor activities themselves so knew what they were talking about and offered in depth and personalised advice.

So pleased to be able to review this independent shop. My first contact was over the phone and I got a lot of help from the owner then. So I visited today 4/9/17. So much help, above and beyond what is required. I got help buying a pair of Paramo waterproof trousers, then asked about boot care and got a lot of expert advice. Being cheeky I asked if he could show me how to use a compass as well, and, surprise surprise, he could and did! Excellent friendly service, great price and and an overall excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent service and great price. Ordered Monday and received Tuesday.......the rab neutrino 800 I purchased was £50 cheaper than anywhere else and they answered a few questions I had over the phone very quickly. Perfect

I visited today to buy a pair of walking boots as mine were old and had begun to rub. The service was excellent. A lot of time and care was taken to measure my feet and provide advice about the most suitable pair for me. They fit perfectly and I walked over 7 miles in them straight away. I would definitely recommend this business if you want good quality outdoor wear and excellent service.

Ordered a pair of Mountain Boots that I couldn't get locally and David even went to the trouble of sourcing them for me from another retailer as he didn't have my size in stock. Unfortunately the fit wasn't quite right so I had to return them for a refund. Service was first class throughout and David called me several times to let me know what was happening. Will definitely use the online service again, even though it didn't work out this time.
