The first and foremost point to raise here is that even though it was a Saturday night, the establishment offered free entry.We were seated within 10/15 minutes of arrival as a group of six and really had the best luck in being placed right next to the piano. The pianist was excellent in taking requests and getting the audience involved. He played several of our requests and for that we left a sizable tip.All drinks were served to our table by our waitress who was quick to fix any problems. We had a cocktail glass shatter because it was so cold and before we could even get the table cleaned, 2 cocktails were made up and brought to us on the house.We spent over 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. The only slight negative I would add was the location of the toilets. It was a fair old trek for tired old legs.If you're looking for that night put with a twist! Blue Dog is the place to be!!

Amanda was a fabulous host, providing great recommendations from their new cocktail menu. The refurbishment is classy and understated, we’ll be sure to be back for the open mic night on Tuesdays!

Excellent little live music and cocktail bar. All the musicians we have seen here are top of their game and set a great mood in the place. The cocktails are very well mixed and fairly priced given the venue (they have several beers on draft, too which is very welcome) and the barstaff are fun, friendly and accommodating. Place feels refined and more adult but doesn't take itself too seriously. Love it.

Absolutely love this place, always guaranteed superb live music by either piano man or live singer.Drinks are great, little pricey for a cocktail/beer as such. But paying for the atmosphere and drink combined.

Loads of people recommended this bar to us whilst we were staying in Glasgow but I found it quite disappointing.Average drinks and atmosphere. They had live music on which helped save it but didn't feel like the crowd were into it (which is a shame because he was good).

from the moment we were welcomed in the door by the lovely amanda the hospitality and atmosphere of the bar was amazing, only topped off by the wonderful enjoyment of watching chris shake and bake the best cocktails known to man, would recommend this place to everyone and their gran as not a soul should be missing out on the best experience glasgow has to offer, thanks again marc and siobhan

After showing up to met a long life friend of my father, who passed away due to a heart attack last year.I was only in the pub for an hour and a half had about 3-4 drinks, i am then refused service for accidently spilling a drink when hugging my dad friend goodbye.When you work in a bar drinks will be spilled. And at over £10 a drink. Not worth the visit. Do not go here.

Staffs were very rude to me, the security lady there asked me to leave just because I took off my shoe that was hurting my feet, I reported this to the manager and he was also of no help and even walked out on me, telling me that the staff has been there for years and he can’t talk to her, meaning the staff is a boss of him obviously. Left the bar very disrespectful.. the cocktails was nice as I expected, I don’t not recommend, now I know why it was so empty on a weekend night.

The door staff let you know straight away if you'll be able to get a seat or if it's standing at the bar only, so expectation mgmt in that respect was fab. Live piano music, really friendly and competent bar staff, great vibe overall. Had a lovely night. Will be back for sure

Came here recently for few drinks. Drinks were lovely and plenty of choice on the menu. Had live music which was really good and not too loud that you couldn’t hear. Amanda was an absolute gem and couldn’t be more helpful!
