Crown Doors

If I could leave zero stars I would.Awful experience…be warned.This is a company that doesn’t honour its policies.I came into store on 21st July to purchase two doors. I changed my mind on the same day, sent an email cancelling my order and also made a phone call the next day to confirm I was cancelling.I asked Keith if I needed to come into the shop to process the refund and I was told I had to. That same day 22nd July I went in for my refund, only to be told I had to wait for the money to be cleared from the bank due to his previous experience with “fraud”.So I waited until the money cleared from my bank and I contacted Keith again via email and telephone asking when my refund would be issued. Again he came up with excuses and said it takes a number of days. None of my emails have been responded to until this day.I contacted my bank and informed them of the transaction.I went on Crown Doors website and checked their returns policy. “Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund, store credit, or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our return policy.Once we have dispatched your goods (or if you have collected them), you can return them for a full refund within 14 days of delivery (or collection) without giving a reason, as long as they are with their original packaging unused and undamaged. You will be responsible for returning the goods to us (there will be a 25% restocking charge). We will make all refunds to the credit card or debit card used to place your order and we will pay you within 14 days of us receiving the goods.Please note, there is no charge for faulty items that are returned, and you cannot return bespoke or made-to-measure items unless they are faulty.”I contacted Keith again on 3rd August via telephone since we’d reached this so called 14 days. He came up with more nonsense saying he doesn’t deal with refund but his wife does!! I asked for her contact details and threatened to contact trading standards. Low and behold I was told to come into the shop for my refund.When I got my refund I told him how appalling the customer service is. He said he was “messed about” by me cancelling the order!!!So this is your warning…a very bitter seller when a sale doesn’t go his way.As a consumer I have a right to cancel, even before the doors are delivered. Thank god I did! I dread to think how he would have dealt with this matter had I gone through with the order and asked for refund after delivery!I will be in contact with trading standards.F Suleiman

Avoid at all cost. Keith installed our front door which was cut too small and tried to cover up with edge strip. The door was not sealed at the bottom after cutting. Frame was made too thin so it left a gap between lock and door and you could see right through it.Keith agreed to a refund and took the door away. When I went to get a refund he made loads of excuses and did not process refund.Dishonest person - avoid this business. There are much better door places nearby.

Have been looking for doors for a while. Went into crown doors after no luck elsewhere as price was always increased with VAT etc. As I woman gong into a mans invorment it can be daunting but hey made me very welcome. I informed them I was on a budget. He took his time and showed me what I could afford on my budget. Ordered doors and delivered to me as promised now I have 6 brand new lovely doors fitted. I don’t have a google account but I created one just so I could leave a nice review as I was so impressed with the service thank you will definitely recommend to my friends and family and buy the rest of my doors from here.

Awful service. Very unplasant experience. No invoice issued, architraves, door liners and doors stoppers, warped. doors damaged and not willing to give a refund. A very unprofessional out fit.Response not true. have NOT received all the invoices. I have asked several times for these invoices. If they were supplied, don't understand why the invoices cannot be sent again????BTW 2 doors were damaged per photo. The glazed door was replaced with unglazed door but no refund for the difference -. the other door was hung but it is clear that there was manufacturing defect.

Be warned !!!! I purchased some internal doors which , were coloured pre finished . They were delivered and when I removed the packaging they were damaged. I rang and spoke with the owner Keith" who's reply was oh right I get you some more. 8 doors and 2 months later and still damaged doors were being supplied. Never returning my calls after numerous messages left for him. His final reply was I give you your money back

Excellent work from Crown Doors! Our new porch doors are the business! I thoroughly recommend Keith and Lawrence and would not hesitate in going to them again in the future.

I purchased 7 internal doors from Crown doors recently. I wanted specific doors and Crown was the only place where I could view them. A wide selection of doors and ironmongery can be viewed there. I went there and was greeted by Keith the owner. He was very knowledgeable and professionally. I purchased hinges and I would say they are of the highest standard. The doors were delivered at the promised time. I even got a call from Keith an hour later to ensure I had received them. The following day I even got a call from Keith again to see if everything is OK.I am totally happy with the doors and they look amazing. I don't know what the first reviewer is moaning about!! I don't usually write reviews because I am a hard person to please, but I am so happy with the service and the product I wanted to put a review on.I will not hesitate to recommend potential customers to purchase from Crown doors. I will definitely be returning again. Thank you so much Keith.
