I used Independent for the management of my rental property and sale of that property. I was extremely disappointed in service to find out that Independent do not complete a checkout inventory when tenants vacate the properties they fully manage. The tenants bond was also released in full without my knowledge or permission as I had not had sight of any inventory.This subsequently left me in a very difficult position with solicitors when the buyer of my property disputed the cleanliness and condition the property had been left in by the previous tenants. It was left to me to fight a dispute which could have been easily quashed had the agents completed an inventory checkout which is what all other reputable agents provide as standard upon tenants vacating a property. I would not recommend their sales or rental management services.

Called independent mortgage and property services and was interested in a property, was happy to make an offer without physically seeing the property as the home report was in good order, they then said the property needed to be on the market for at least a week, before any offers would be accepted, we then arranged to view the property the next day and travelled up from down south the following day and called to make sure they where going to make the appointment, only to be told the place had sold, I can only speculate that this was done in an effort to possibly get the place sold at low cost to perhaps a friend or someone they know, again that's just speculation, but the fact remains why wouldn't they have as many people as possible make offers and get there cleint the best price? after all that is there job.

Excellent professional, friendly service from David and the team through my recent house purchase and mortgage application. It was all new to me as a first time buyer but everything was explained in language I could understand and I definitely felt like I was in safe hands.
