Barchester - Lydfords Care Home

A wonderfully welcoming home, in a beautiful picturesque location.The staff could not be more polite, and the residents look incredibly happy.I have been for their professional lunches and have had an amazing time with great people and was looked after brilliantly by the attentive staff.

ACRES - Adult College for Rural East Sussex have used Lydfords Care Home as a venue for several courses. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are immaculate, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and it's a real pleasure to continue to develop our professional partnership with them!

My nan and I visited a few care homes prior to visiting Lydfords, as we wanted the best for her. Immediately we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, who made us feel at ease instantly.The care staff showed us around the home introducing us to other residents allowing my Nan to interact with them giving her an insight to the amazing activities and experiences they have there.For me, I noticed the increased level of friendliness between the staff and residents - who actively encourage their residents to participate in their activities. Lydfords also boasts a higher level of hygiene, which is so important to my Nan.For anyone who wants a care home with passionate staff who give their all to the residents I can honestly say that this one is the only one I recommend for my Nan And others.

My very good friends mum lives in Lydfords and she constantly raves about the care and kindness her mother receives at Lydfords, I had the pleasure of visiting recently and was extremely impressed by what I saw. Happy residents, well looked after and content. The staff so friendly and attentive. I must give a special mention to Donna, she is exactly what you would hope for in a carer. Kind, considerate, patient. We are currently considering whether a care home move is the next step for my great aunt and if the answer is yes Lydfords will be top of our list. Beautiful home, lovely setting, fantastic staff what more could you want…

Recently attended an open day event. The Home itself is simply gorgeous inside and out. There are several communal lounge areas which are tastefully furnished. The atmosphere seemed relaxed and the residents I spoke to were happy and well cared for. Staff are amazing, helpful and attentive. Various activities are regularly laid on for those who want to be involved. Highly recommend.

Open day was fabulous. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Residents were enjoying themselves and the food was delicious. Very jealous of the fabulous chef creating inspiring menus every day. Just wish I could have brought him home with me!

I was very glad to be shown round Lydfords by one of their amazing staff. It is beautiful! It has recently been refurbished and now looks and feels like a lovely country hotel situated in the pretty village of East Hoathly with gorgeous views of the Sussex countryside. The staff are professional but friendly and there are lots of different activities and talks. I love the way they invite the public in for their community cafe and various special events.

I visited Lydfords home for afternoon tea. The home was warm and inviting. The tea and cake selection was wonderful. The staff polite. Thank you Lydfords.

I popped in for a tour, the staff were very polite and welcoming. It’s a lovely home with the most beautiful gardens. All the residents I met were very cheery too.

My parents moved to Lydfords Care Home in East Hoathly in October 2023. From the outset the care and support they, and we, have been given has been outstanding but as my father approached the end of his life even those exceptionally high standards were surpassed. No words can ever fully express our family's appreciation and gratitude for the love, care and support (practical and emotional)shown by Rikki and all of her amazing team (in every department) before, during, and after Dad's death. We know that Mum will continue to be in the very best of hands.
