Yesterday was my first visit to the dentist in years due to not being able to find a dental surgery in Leeds that would take on new NHS patients. I was amazed that I finally found one that myself and my family were able to register with. Not only that, but this was the most pleasant visit I have ever had at a dental surgery.I was naturally anxious because it had been so long since my previous check up and I was worried I'd need multiple fillings. My last experience was with the emergency night dentist in early 2022 and it was truly horrible. I was in pain and the dentist was very mean and condescending and she had a terrible manner.Thankfully this experience was the complete opposite. The receptionist was warm and welcoming and the lovely dentist downstairs was kind, considerate and highly informative. His assistant also had a lovely manner and both made me feel at ease. I was spoken to respectfully and informed that there was no immediate concerns and to continue with my usual dental care. I was so relieved to hear this.I didn't think I would ever find an NHS dentist again let alone one so kind and caring. My 6 monthly check ups will be dreaded no more. Thank you Whingate team, you are all amazing!

The staff at this dentist are amazing. Abdul is such a gentle and caring dentist, never any pain even when having tooth extractions or fillings. I used to be frightened to death to visit the dentist but not anymore. the receptionist is lovely too. I highly recommend this dentist.

Now the practice has been sold they are only open three days a week They have taken payment for work without having appointments to complete it , after several attempts to make an appointment they told me about the three day week. This is not good enough. As my dentist that helped with my silly phobia has retired. I have found the practice to be lacking. All the rooms were in use when I had my check up, how can they only offer 3 days a week surgerys if they are so busy . Also as I have no idea who my replacement dentist will be why only let me see one person who has not worked on me before when their is more than one dentist working what is the difference between them?

I registered with them recently and I am really happy. The dentists are very kind and experienced and the ladies in reception always kind and helpful. Thank you!

Simply the best and I feel lucky to have them as my dentist, always have an appointment when I need one.

Ignore all negative reviews about this surgery. 3 years ago I would have agreed with them, but the current team are absolutely fantastic. I have been going to this surgery for over 25 years, and for the first time I am more than satisfied. The receptionists over the years have always been nice, the main receptionist at the moment has an excellent manner, and my new dentist Ciara is a lovely lady and made me feel at ease, and I have no doubt in her competence. The staff here most certainly do care about you, despite the other things I have read below. For the first time in my life I am not dreading my next visit. Keep up the good work.

Such a lovely dentist, always get you in ASAP, I have been multiple times recently and dentist is so friendly & helpful.

My daughter grinds her teeth so the dentist recommended a night guard. Within 4 weeks it didn’t fit and was told despite my daughter whose 14 having headaches and ear, She couldn’t have another night guard made until July. Unless I paid £120 to pay private. Also I’ve had numerous issues with them over the years. Today he wants me to see an implantoligist privately. He doesn’t know why cos implant got pulled out. I have an infection that doesn’t go away, he keeps saying there’s no infection but it looks infected to me. He recommends going to A&E if I have further problems. I would avoid this place at all costs

I am petrified of the dentist but Yaz and his lovely assistant were absolutely brilliant. They both had so much patience with me even though I broke down in tears on them twice while in the chair. The lovely dental nurse was very calming and spoke to me in a soothing relaxing manner helping to breathe and compose myself. Her poor hands are probably still sore from me crushing them while i had the injections...thank you again, I'm sorry i didnt catch her name.Yaz talked me through every step of everything he was doing and stopped every so often to ask if I was OK. Best dentist appointment I've been to if that's possible. Highly recommended.

The dentist is professional, and told me all my teeth are fine, just need to continue to floss use mouthwash and eat less sugary foods. I arrived on time and sent straight up to see the dentist. The dentist is informative and cleans your teeth, showed the X-ray of my teeth and told me how to look after them. The dentist also consulte me asking about how much I brushed them and medical history etc. However when I was doing my registration, the receptionist insinuated I was foreign and crossed the wrong box.
