I was on holiday nearby and found the opportunity to top up on our usual shopping very helpful.Oddly the car parking spaces are very thin. Ideal for a small Toyota Yaris, but not for my family car.

I find it absolutely astounding, that the queues for the customer service desk at Ferndown are allowed to become so very long, with only one staff member in attendance. This is a frequent occurrence, people spending long time returning items, when one just wants a packet of cigarettes. There are two terminals for staff, yet only the one is used. No doubt this is a cost cutting exercise which I find entirely unacceptable.

Google seems to be insisting I review my trip so here goes:When Google first notified me that a review was necessary, I had forgotten I'd even stepped in the said shop but on searching my grey matter I did indeed visit the large store! I stopped by following a trip to Sheffield to drop my daughter to University for the first time in order to buy strong booze since a massive feeling of bereavement surged through me at the time.I wasted no time to select a 750ml bottle of Famous Grouse Scottish whisky, a bottle of soda water and an orange to make myself an Old Fashioned cocktail. It was all easy to find. The alcohol was indeed more than adequate. The store itself however was rather littered by trolleys driven by staff stocking shelves. Mind you it was 2245 on a Saturday night.I opted to pay for my items (on card) via a traditional checkout lane since I'd be age checked anyway on the self service area and there didn't seem many members of staff around to do this since they were all engaged in the aisles. The checkout supervisor was very slow but pleasant and professional. Probably beyond retirement age, she was polite and adequately carried out her duties but I did have to wait approximately 90 seconds more than expected. This was no issue and it wasted literally the same amount of seconds of thoughts during the short journey home concerning why she was still working (has to/ wants to).Overall uninspiring but not overly expensive or bothersome. Parking good.Male 5 foot 11. Will Google leave me in peace now?

Don't force people to use the cattle farm chaotic self checkout then treat them like criminals having to prove their purchase if they want to get out of the scrum after the harrowing experience. Can't wait for Lidl to open for some civilised customer service!

As supermarkets go, this is a good one.Always clean, good range of food and polite staff.I used to love the cafe but they seem to have downgraded it lately so they don’t make real food, just heat up snacks.Good petrol station, easy to access from store and road, sensible priced petrol.Silly joke to end with....(cos I do)When I was in the supermarket, I saw a man and a woman both dressed as barcodes ...I think they were an item.

It's a supermarket, plenty of space between the aisles OK produce, too much Christmas schizle but hey no real surprises.

Shopping was good as we're the products and produce but oh dear!! what a long wait of over 20 minutes to get my trolley through the checkout. Many customers waiting (at least 8)for the lone checkout guy!

Typical Sainsburys local. Clean and nicely laid out. Good for a quick shop or to find something basic that you've run out of or forgot. It's not a full sized supermarket though so you should be prepared to substitute or compromise if you can't find the exact product. Staff are friendly and efficient and there's hardly ever a queue to pay but if there is, it will move quickly.

A large store that probably has most things you need, but the layout is odd, and finding certain items can be a chore. Staff are never particularly friendly or helpful, and the pickers doing the home delivery selections are constantly in the way. Not the best shopping experience.
