I Only spotted this bar the other day, I've walked past it several times in the last year, But didn't even realize what it was (it looks like a shop)the reindeer on the window got my attention so I decided to check the place out. It was very quiet, as it was lunch time and had just opened. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is the usual range of beers and larger, Obviously They don't do cask conditioned real ales it's not that kind of place. It is very large and spacious. They organise events and it's the kind of place that gets very busy and lively in the evenings. Would I call in again yesI would like to go in at night to see what it like then.

It’s not often I write a review but I thought I’d write this after last evenings experience @ Hull Pride, the bar was busy, as expected but the staff were tentative and friendly. The drinks selection was good and prices reasonable able. The best thing about this bar was the cleanliness of the toilets - something often lack in city centre bars.Well done Munroe’s … we’ll be back :)

Absolutely amazing bar, the staff and management are second to none with a range of entertainment to suit all. Never any problems in there with a friendly and welcoming customer base. Drinks offers and centrally located. Wouldn't look to go anywhere else.

Very friendly LGBTQ+ friendly bar. Friendly straight people welcomed too!!!! Great staff, good value drinks and regular entertainment. Clean toilets. Also pool upstairs if you want it.

Monroe's is the new boy on the block. Modern and minimal style greets you as you enter, along with a genuinely warm actual greeting from the staff.There's lots of floor space which allows for large events (I've attended 2 so far), but also enough seating areas for the quieter times.The owners explained they are at the start of a long and interesting journey and the passion to provide a first class, customer focused service is clearly evident.I can see a great future for this friendly bar, and one that will fit in well with the feel of the street overall.Well done and good luck for your future.Edit/update Dec 22The bar is definitely growing and the attention to customer service remains evident. The staff are all attentive and interested and seem motivated.It's approaching Christmas and the decorations are appearing almost by the hour. It's looking great, especially the 100ft tree in the window!The customers are varied and happy, with the usual mix of locals and walk ins, all equally welcomed as family.. as long as you're decent too!!Doing well after nearly a year in business. I'm happy to see my prediction is reality. Well done Monroe's bar, Hull; a real gem in the city.
