Sea Point Car Park

Very nice view

There are usually always spaces in this pay and display car park, due to the fact that there are public roads near by that you can park on free of charge e.g. Seabrook Road. Parking along Princes parade is chargeable at certain times of the year. This carpark is well placed, being close to the BP petrol station and SPAR shop, the food kiosk on Princes Parade, public toilets on Seabrook Road, and offers immediate access to Princes Parade and the Royal Military Canal, both of which offer very good walks. There is also a childrens playground / climbing frame at one end of the carpark.

내가 선택한 차박용 주차장은 이곳이다. 생각했던 것보다 사람이 많은 해변. 요금 안내판을 보니 저녁 6시 이후 아침 8시까지는 무료. 한국의 해운대가 생각나는 - 그러나 훨씬 큰 바닷가의 벤치에 앉아서 시원한 바람을 맞으며 사람들을 구경하는데 정말 기분이 좋았다. 주차장에서 밤을 보내는 것은 동네 청년들이 떠들어서 자주 잠에서 깨야 했기에 별로 유쾌한 경험은 아니었다. 하지만 무료니까 괜찮아. 인근에 있는 주유소에서 필요한 물건들은 구입할 수 있어서 그밖의 불편함은 딱히 없었다. 단지, 화장실이 없다는 점이 조금 불편...... 이 지역은 역사적인 해군용 제방이라 의미도 있고, 주위를 산책하기에도 나쁘지 않다.
