***RE: shoe repair service*** I took two pairs of boots to this branch of Timpsons for a quote on the price of repair for each; one of the pairs (casual boots) were apparently un-mendable, while the other pair (motorcycle boots) were £66 for new complete units. I think it's likely that they would have done a good job had I accepted this price, as I have used this branch before, but I would recomend Garniers (a short walk away, in Shirley precinct) for this service, as they gave me a quote of £45 for the motorcycle boots, and offered a price of £30 for the 'un-mendable' casual boots, which they fixed nicely.

Took my watch to Offord and Sons to get a couple of links removed, surprisingly they couldn't do it, said they couldn't remove the pins, took it to Timpson chap there called Fred got them out within 5 minutes, walked out a happy customer, well worth the price I paid, recommend fully, thanks Fred

Went into Shirley to get my boots repaired as they are my favourites and can’t get them anymore lovely very helpful chap helped me so pleased with the service as I didn’t think he could sort them for me Thankyou fred

Helpful staff. They have so many facilities. Shoe repair, house numbers, photo print out and watch repairs. I am sure I missedSomething.

Went into the shop with my shoes to be repaired and met with a cheery bloke who promised the best customer service and that the repair would be done a certain colour,high quality, and the shoes would look tip top again.Collect the shoes once finished, not what was promised to me... Poor quality job with glue marks ruining my previously mark free section of suede...Bloke who sold me a dream was obviously a part timer or something.Abysmal

Came in an hour before closing time to be told by the single most unhelpful man ever that he wouldn't make one small pet tag because he had other things to do". A wonderful experience!"

Last year there was a really nice man working there who was helpful. He fitted new batteries in three of of my watches. I don't know if he still works there or was on a day off but he wasn't there when I went in this time because two of my watches which I took in last year were not working properly. They was slow and therefore telling the wrong time constantly. Asked the man in the shop if it was the battery or if needed a service as batteries I've had in the past from other shops have lasted around three years a least. He was not helpful and said he'd need to look at the watches. I produced one and he didn't do anything. He just £15 for a new battery. I said I wasn't necessarily looking for a new battery, I wanted to know if it needed a service or whether the battery had a problem. He didn't bother to test the battery or anything. I was annoyed and said I'd rather take it elsewhere.

Went in this morning trying to find out if my messed DIY could be sorted, to say the man I met is not in a happy mood is an understatement, I then tried telling him about hidden deep" in the middle of the shop as you go in

I went today to Timpson on 58 Shirley High St. in Southampton. The service was more than excellent. The person taking care of my problem went not extra mile but at least extra hundred miles. Thank you very much for such great service and people.

Go somewhere else as 'manager' too busy eating crisps behind counter.Wanted key cut for bike padlock. Attempted to take bike in as I couldn't leave it outside unlocked. 'No bikes in store,' I attempted to explain, 'No bikes in store'. He could have got off his backside and taken the lock off me but, 'No bikes in store' Can only assume he is on a day rate as there appeared to be no desire to actually work. Dreadful lazy person. Clarences Hardware at Foyes corner cuts keys, go there.
